I wish I could give 10 stars! This place is simply amazing! We live in Kansas City but we’re on our way to a wedding in Manhattan and stopped to get the heel of a pair of boots fixed. We got the boots back and they look like a brand new pair. We look forward to fixing our other boots here and we definitely recommend this place to anyone we know! Service was amazing and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

TLDR: Don’t go here.Reuter’s has been a Topeka staple for years and I wish the shop’s work today matched its reputation. I dropped off a purse to be cleaned, was given a date for pickup, showed up, and they hadn’t cleaned half of the bag. The strap hadn’t been touched, the inside wasn’t cleaned, and the guy working the counter talked to me as if it was my mistake for expecting the whole thing to be cleaned.When I told him I expected the whole bag to be cleaned, I was given a second date for pick up- two weeks later. When I arrived, they HAD FORGOTTEN TO CLEAN IT. There was a gal at the counter that day and she was respectful and apologetic for the whole situation. She gave me a third date to pick up my bag and told me she’d get someone on it right away. (She is the reason they’re getting two stars instead of one)When I arrived for my third pickup date, the bag STILL hadn’t been fully cleaned. At that point I was so frustrated that I took my bag and left.The attitude posed by one of the employees (throughout the whole process), the lack of conviction to clean a paying customer’s bag well, and the fact that what could’ve been a simple transaction was now a whole hoopla has ruined this place for me. I’d recommend going to the leather place downtown instead.

I took two pair of boots in for heel/sole repair. Reuter’s did a great job! I couldn’t be happier with the results and I would highly recommend Reuter’s to my family and friends.they had great customer service too!See the before and after pictures for proof of a job well done!!

Awesome experience. Helpful and friendly employees. The dog was really nice.Came in to get custom shoe insoles due to a nasty broken foot. Nick was very pleasant both on the phone to set my appointment and in person.I would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting some good shoes or in need on insoles.

I came into store to have a quality repair job done. I was informed by the owner's, Bruce and Rhonda all that could and would be done. 1) New soles and heels 2) The leather above the heel would be worked up some, due to it being wore down. 3) They would be cleaned and oiled and look brand new. I came in on April 16th see if they were done, since I'd never been called. Your repair guy went to get them and upon him setting the bag on the counter, I noticed a deep slash in the new heel. Upon mentioning it, he says \

These people did a GREAT job on half resoling my Birkenstocks with a more durable sole. They did everything to help make the sole last longer and the work is extremely clean. Everybody I dealt with was very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a good, reasonably priced cobbler. They also sell shoes BTW. Thank you REUTERS!!!!

Reuter's has been putting a lift in every one of my husband's right shoes for years to compensate for a right leg shortened by a car accident. This is not an inexpensive process, and only certain kinds of shoes can be altered this way. Naturally they're the expensive ones. So when you hand over 3 or 4 pairs of brand new $400 shoes to be altered, there's a great deal of trust involved. Reuter's has always been exceptional and provided excellent work. We are grateful to this Topeka gem for their skill and care in altering my husband's shoes for him. Thank you!

Very accommodating! The owner knows his stuff! Found out my wife has been wearing the wrong size shoe for years!!! It's so important to me to have a good quality shoes and this is the place to find them!

I wish they had told me when I bought my shoes that there was a 20% restock fee. There is a sign, but I did not see it when I checked out, or I wouldn't have bought them with my complex issues. Seems a little steep to charge for a pair worn inside for three hours. The person at the counter didn't even open the box to check them.

I went looking for a new pair of shoes at Reuters and Brandy the store manager, helped me. I was so impressed by her attention to detail. She measured my feet, asked me what I was looking for, went to the back of the store and came back with several pairs of shoes she thought I would like. I have problems with one of my feet, so she made sure to bring out shoes she thought would work best for me. I came out with two pairs of shoes instead of one! Such a nice young Lady. This kind of customer service is not found much these days. Thank you Brandy. I will certainly be returning when I'm in need of another pair of shoes.
