2020 SW Westport Dr, TopekaIn May of 2016 we adopted "Janice" who was of the Jefferson County's 2015 "Mean Girls" litter, she had been adopted and returned to the shelter twice before she was a year old. Her name since we brought her home has been Lily & she got along great with my Lucy after a slow intro. In March of 2022 we adopted Spooky who had been surrendered with two other cats, he had been there a month and all the staff loved this big sweet all black kitty boy who they said was 5. Our vet said Spooky seemed more like 10, but ever since we brought him home he has been family. I encourage everyone looking for a kitty to adopt the kitties here! Take them to your preferred vet ASAP because kennels unfortunately make diseases easy to pass along, but if the kitty picks you and you have the financial plus physical plus emotional space? Take the nice kitty home, treat it like your own child ? it's only two kitties so far but they are so well loved

I had so much difficulty trying to find a groomer that he liked in Topeka. When Tori found out that he was food motivated and a big lover she knew just what to do. Oscar loved her his first visit and when he knew where we were going every time after that he got so excited. Tori is a definite dog person and my dogs know it. She is pleasant to talk with, she is a kind person and it shows with every dog I see her with. She takes the time to get to know each individual dog and she treats them like her own. She is very knowledgeable and extremely experienced. Her pricing is fair and she really cares. I wouldn't trust any other person with my fur babies.

3119 SW Huntoon St, TopekaThis is a really cute little lounge. It gets packed so be sure to get there early and make reservations beforehand if you want to go in. Sitting out side on the patio isn't bad but could be a lot better with fans out there. I've been told there is a speakeasy down below called the Principals Office but I didn't get a chance to go check it out because it was reserved that evening for a book club. The service is good inside. Water and pretzels are served. Friendly staff. No complaints really only wish since we were sitting outside in the heat they would have came out and offered more water. The food is actually appetizers only but everything sounded wonderful. We got the goat cheese with fig served with slices of baguette and crackers. That was hard to turn down. Creamy, warm and still making my mouth water. The wine selection is a bit limited for a place that is called a wine lounge. The cocktails are fancy, aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, and the cost will hit you in the pocketbook if you're not paying attention because it's easy to indulge here. It's a great date spot, get together with some friends, or apparently have your book club meet up kind of place. Definitely a place to check out. It's a little hidden treasure in the middle of a charming neighborhood that you'll miss unless you get out and explore the town a bit.

The bartender stated that it had just came out that day and he had not made one. It was really good! I didn't catch his name but he checked in on us ladies often and was friendly. I'm def coming back and bringing my puppy Hershel.

The Happy Hut Hawaiian Shaved Ice

I've always had exceptional customer service that's both prompt and friendly, and they're even patient with you when you can't figure out which one of their 40+ awesome flavors to pick from. My family stops in here for a cool treat to beat the heat pretty often, and we're always glad we did. The prices are very reasonable and the seating area has a great relaxed atmosphere, even while being next to a busy street. I definitely suggest you give them a try.Also for the dog lovers, they offer a free "Pup Cup" which is unflavored ice and a dog biscuit. I love that they look out for doggos like that.

He was friendly with us and our toddler. Hi is a new word, so he says it all the time. He and the other servers played along kindly. Our baby wound up getting sick before food was served. He threw milk up all over the floor and himself. Kevin brought us wet and dry towels and asked what he could do to help, offering to bring drink and bringing a mix of water and sprite. When we left, he wished our son well. So thankful to for his kindness. Needless to say, if we come through again, we'll be stopping again.

5941 SW 17th St, TopekaWe've visited Dutch Bros twice this week-I tried the Ice Horchata Latte for the first time Tuesday and Hershel got a Delicious Pup Cup. He gets so excited for his treat and loves when the girls there Gush over him! The staff is friendly, the only thing i would suggest is that they ask if you have the Rewards program, I forget to have them scan my QR code. We have had great service and we both enjoy our drink/treats.
