Thank you Jesus for my Sunday school teacher I called her stressed about my car issues and she referred me to her mechanics at performance auto I took my car to them they found the problems and took care of them with no issues I would recommend this business great customer service great Godly business now my car is running like brand new I have a piece of mind

I represent a car dealership out in Atlanta Georgia called JORA IMPORTS, we purchased a vehicle from a customer out there in Topeka and it needed a timing belt job to be able to handle a 14 hour trek back to the South. We used Performance Autocare of Topeka for the job of inspecting the car on our behalf but also to do the necessary repairs - not only did they give us a great estimate price - but they got the job done timely and within schedule so that one of our staff members could fly into Topeka and drive the car home. Amazing shop and we wish that more of these shops existed in Atlanta where we are based. Highly recommended!

I ran into an issue where all my power steering fluid leaked out. I took my car to here the day after the 4th of July (a Friday) and they had it ready for me to pickup Tuesday morning. They communicated well and didn't try to upsell me on anything unnecessary, and I felt welcomed and comfortable as this was my first autoshop experience. They replaced all 3 hoses of my power steering, and it came out to around $650 which is reasonable based on all estimates I researched.
They were even nice enough to let me into my car with the keys I dropped off when I had forgotten something in my car. I feel like I got the proper value and service I expected, and will definitely be bringing my car back again if it is to run into any problems!

Mary and the mechanics are great to work with! Great location! Easy to see why they are so busy! Mary kept me informed, updated and explained the problems so I could understand. It's great to have a working car again and I don't have to worry about any issues. Highly recommend this place. Thank you Performance Auto!

I had a uniquely bad experience with this shop. I had a car towed in after a brake failure. I really suggest you go somewhere else..
I live out of state - TX. I initially inquired with the mechanic and front desk (owner) expressing the fact that I needed the car as I no longer live in KS. They agreed to do the work with the parts I would send in, and then the story changed - they would only use VW parts. I inquired to talk to the mechanic to converse on other options including stocked available parts but the front desk blocked me - I would wait a month (indeterminate), at least for parts. I never heard from the mechanic again. The front desk proceeded to play gatekeeper preventing a connection.
2 months roll by. The car is finally ready. I fly back into the state. They charged me $100 less than a dealer quoted on a $1300 job, fine at least it's done. However, while brakes are there they are mush requiring a near full press down before engagement.
I repeatedly asked the owner-gatekeeper to consider the situation and provide a timeline to address their poorly executed repair even giving her the option to tell me that they simply couldn't do it at all. She displayed no empathy or situational awareness only posting the response "it's my job to be gatekeeper" 'drop the car off and wait in line'. The brakes are still mush. I choose to live with it.
I believe this group has good intentions but by their own admission they take on all kinds of jobs including and that appears to have impacted how well they can fulfill them. The communication disconnect led to a lot of unnecessary problems.
I couldn't recommend them to anyone as in my case they were neither cheap, nor timely, nor confidence inspiring. Pick a shop that will attend to your needs.

Excellent service! Performance Auto Care replaced a couple faulty 02 sensors and a broken fuel pump driver module on my F150 ( ) in good time and for a fair price. Also, "Mary" (the receptionist) was very courteous and informative. I would recommend their services to anyone!

I have a 1987 Volvo 245 wagon. The ignition key got broke inside the tumbler. Two well seasoned locksmith couldn’t get the broken key out. I called numerous so called well known automotive repair shops here in Topeka. Even those that supposedly specialize in foreign vehicles. None were willingly to repair my Volvo. With one exception only. Performance Auto. They were not only willing but helped locate parts. And due to the age of vehicle this was not an easy task. But they did and were able to readily fix my older Volvo. I was very impressed and quite pleased indeed. It is interesting that the other so called repair shops say they can fix anything with so-called qualified staff yet not only would they not , they will never get my money or the chance to work on any of my vehicles. I find it interesting that they can pick and choose what and whom they will complete work for. Thank goodness for Performance Auto they were professional and did the job with a smile. They were also very affordable! Give these folks a call for your automotive needs you won’t be disappointed. Like I was with the “other well know” shops.
