We rented a car to drive out of state for a few days, it was not a good experience. The lights were pointed to the ground and we could only see about 10 feet in front of us, which made driving in the dark very hard. When we called to tell them, she basically told us that that shouldn’t be happening and there was nothing we could do, and she acted like she didn’t believe us. She didn’t try to find us a hertz that we could pull into and have them adjusted or anything. She didn’t try and help us get another car or anything. Just overall a bad, and unsafe (because of the lights) trip. Horrible customer service both over the phone and in person. They were rude, and weren’t friendly as customer service workers should be. Would definitely never rent from this location again.

Went in for an insurance rental and was told we won't have anything until next week. Of course they have a car available if I wished to private pay.

Rented a car for a week and they had exactly what I was looking for. They discussed the previous damage from past drivers set Clear expectations on the cost, and the customer service representative were very respectful.

We booked a rental online with Enterprise of Lawrence, but received a phone call the day prior to pick up advising that they could not fulfill our reservation. So, we logged in to Hertz of Topeka and secured a new vehicle. The following day, as we entered Topeka for our scheduled pick up, we received a call saying they too had no cars available. Both companies still had cars advertised as available, but neither was able to provide one.

Despite having reservation availability on Expedia and the Hertz website, they had no rentals available. There were numerous people that showed up to pick up their reserved rentals and this happened to. We overheard them say that their websites have no idea what they have available. This is unacceptable. Don't make a reservation with this sham of a company - you most likely won't get a rental, despite making a reservation.

Do not spend money here. They are not fair. I don't smoke in vehicles and got charged $500 plus for a smell of smoking. But the car was cleaned before I could come see for myself.

This place is an absolute joke, I am probably on the do not rent list from them not but I don't give a hoot. They inspected the vehicle when returned nothing was wrong at all they even stated nothing was wrong. Well 3 days later after they had it they want to charge our account $427.11! I gave them a call immediately when the charge was posted asked why it was not $127.20, the manager wanted to accused us of smoking when we don't even smoke and said she was going to email us today. She then said she had covid and it ruined her smell and that's the reason she didn't smell it, so she had another employee drive it the next day and said it smelled like smoke. You've had people drive it after us your employees but that doesn't mean anything plus have had it for three days and now says it smells like smoke WE DONT SMOKE! This place is an absolute joke! After I remained calmed after being charged an outrageous amount and accused of things, she said you'll have to file a claim with your bank I don't do refunds. Wow ok thanks for making life harder!

This place was horrible. I made a reservation. When I went to pick it up, They charged a $550 deposit for a one-day rental. When I went outside to complain to my friend about it and change money around they decided they wouldn’t rent me because of my attitude towards the fee. I’m now stuck with no way for my job trip. Thank you Hertz

Britney and Tara do a wonderful job at this location. We have been using them as our primary location for all business and work trips. They are locally owned which helps them take more ownership of the location and vehicle.

$629 charged on my debit card ($550+ HOLD fee) and $70 a day to rent from this location at Hertz. I should have called an Uber.
