After waiting about 9 months to get the machine work done on the motor for my f100, I finally got it back. Upon inspection when I got home I wasn’t happy with the quality of the bore job and took it to another shop to evaluate. The block had never actually been bored, only honed. I’m now questioning all the work done so I guess I will get to pay for it twice. Save your money and find somewhere else.Service: Motor building

I took in my prius v engine 1.8l to be rebuilt. Paid 1800.00 3 tries and 8 months later got engine back finally. Seemed like a lot of run around. Maybe taking in to much work, more than they could handle or something. Installed the engine and it makes very bad noise and doesnt run right at all. Called them for warranty on engine been waiting for them to get me in for almost two months now. Getting very old.

Ok. I took an almost new 4 bolt block, pistons and rods to Fiddlers on Feb 28th. He kept sidestepping me about getting it done. I finally got a little pissed and he told me that his " helper" accidently bored my block .030 oversized and he would have to buy a set of pistons. That was a month ago. Now last week I got really huffy with him and I also talked to a few people I know to light a fire under him. So, Tuesday he calls and tells me my engine is ready. I went and got it. Came home and inspected it, And it is not my engine. It is somebody else's block and is bored .060 oversize. I had taken him a set of stock pin height Silvolite coated pistons and he gave me back Sealed power pistons. If they are " builder pistons" the pin height will be .020 different and throw my compression height calculations out the window. This whole thing has pissed my off to the point of filing fraud charges with the attorney general's office..but I am getting my teeth because Kevin has done me a good job for years. I do not know what went on in his head on this job, but it is not good and I don't like ending up with a maximum overbored block. Taking a 350 to .060 over can be a risk as far as I am reading if it sonic tests good I will just stop doing business with him. If it does not test good, I am going to call the attorney general.

Dropped of a little Kobota diesel motor for repair in October of 2021. Talked with Kevin the owner (I think) about it. Said he needed $1000 deposit and thought it would be about 2k ish to repair. Call and spoke to him the first few months and he hadn’t got to it. Then I started calling every week. Excuse after excuse after excuse why he didn’t start on it. Fast forward a FULL to October of 2022. I hade enough. Went to pick my motor up still in pieces. All he had done was hone the cylinders!!! He also lost a bunch of head bolts and other parts as well. Everything else was exactly the same. Asked for my $$$$ back but didn’t matter never got a dime.Long story short if you want robbed by a thief that your motor to this clown!!!!Service: Engine repair

I have used Fidlers before with lackluster results, but for whatever reason I decided to try them again. I brought in a disassembled Ford small block engine (minus the heads) hoping I would walk out with a rotating short block assembly, because that's what he said he would do. Big mistake! Brought him everything he needed. Was told that he could have the work done in a week. Fast forward nearly two months later (with weekly phone calls asking about the progress of my engine, always getting the runaround of course), and I left with a block that was simply hot tanked and quickly honed with no parts whatsoever installed, just the new pistons merely pressed onto the rods. I was handed a box full of (of course) cheap DNJ bearings and rings and sent on my way. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!! And all that for the low low price of $400! Unbelievable, I will NEVER do business here again. Honestly, I can't believe he is still in business if this is the way he treats his customers. This guy is a flake, so do yourself a favor and find a reputable machine shop. This was totally not worth all the trouble and time absolutely wasted by his lack of not being able to do what he agreed that he would do.Service: Engine repair

The guy knows his stuff. Very helpful with my IROC build. He has done 3 rebuilds for me with no issues other than it taking a while to get done. But I have always told them I wasn't in a rush.

Knowledgeable staff, and they do good work. The shop is what you would expect, a bit dirty and cluttered, but it is a machine shop.

I bought a ram 1500 from a local dealership got all the paperwork on a rebuild engine that was done at fiddler. Had a ticking in engine that worried me. Called Kevin fiddler and he had me bring the truck into him. He explained everything he was doing and done a great job.
