Old lady didn't let me use my passport as ID for smokes, which is obviously legal ID, and there's absolutely no reason I shouldn't have been able to purchase. sucks, because I spent about 5-10 dollars a day here and now it will be spent af Hy-Vee gas station next door. Note to owners: figure out a way to get around needing to scan ID'S, there are many forms of ID that are valid, like passport, that can't be scanned.

The people who work at this gas station are extremely rude, especially the older male employee. First of all, nobody who works there wears face masks, and they don’t use hand sanitizer and seem to go out of their way to overly handle the items you try to purchase. Secondly every time I go in he gives me attitude about not having change for me. When I ask to buy cigarettes and I get carded he denies my identification because I am from Colorado and he has a hard time comprehending that I am indeed the person in the photograph on the license, I just have dyed my hair since the picture was taken. So he asks me for another form of identification, which I actually provide- my military ID- and he stares at it suspiciously for about five minutes before tossing it back to me. When I purchased a gallon of milk once he actually was condescending about it because they were so expensive there. Obviously I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to buy it from the grocery store but he proceeded to rudely give me his opinions about why it’s “stupid” as he literally stated to buy their milk. He locks and closes the store about 20 minutes before he is supposed to. Every time I try to pay to fill my tire with air he says something like “why don’t you go to the place across the street where it’s f*cking free I’ll take you there myself.” And also when my boyfriend tried to buy a cigar he told us to go to the tobacco store, even though they SELL them at that gas station. I understand everyone has bad days so the first few times we interacted I let it go, but this has literally been a negative experience every time I’ve been there and unfortunately this is the closest gas station to my apartment.

Around 5:45 on Tuesday March 10, 2020 I stopped to get 2 packs of cigarettes. I asked the man behind the counter for what I wanted. His response was "say please". He rang them up and I put my card in the reader. He proceeded to throw them at me. When I turned to leave he said "your welcome " . This man is always rude and creepy. I buy my gas at this location as well. Well maybe I should say I used to purchase things at this location.

Lazy staff that act like customers are a burden, phone rings indefinitely so they can just not answer and don't have to worry about anyone leaving a message or tell if they're open. It's a mess all around and needs to be managed, restaffed, or sold to a better company.
