I have to say thank-you to the Topeka Boot-Barn Team! I was able to order boots into the store flawlessly to ensure the perfect fit. The management team at store went out of the way not to just sell items but to educate me on the brands, cost, quality and availability. If you get the opportunity stop in, it’s worth your time and your feet will thank you!

Staff was friendly, but for a "Western Workwear" store they really should offer work wear for women. I asked the lady if they had anything for women and her response was "Women's work wear? No. We only have Mens, I can show you where that is." Staff was awesome, just highly disappointed that it's so hard to find workwear for women at a supposed "workwear" store. Us women need steel toes and FR too! Some of us are to curvy for men's jeans and our feet are to small for men's boots!

I hope this can get to someone higher up in the company. I’ve tried to contact Human Recourse department with my concerns but the number that was given to me doesn’t connect to a teller or voice mail. (949) 453-4400
I worked at boot barn (store 0218) for the last week and a half and this is want I’ve had to endure… The management team hardly trained me and one other new employee. They blamed it on the busy holiday season. The second day one employee informed me that the first few week would be rough, she asked me not to quit; assuring me it would get better.
The store manager, Christopher Ash Niven, would purposely direct me in the wrong direction when helping customers. Sending me to the women’s boot size 10 and 11 for clearance mens then I releaseing all the clearance boots would still in their original place. He’d also asked me to do ridiculous tasks such as look for things that don’t exist throughout the store and Swiffer dust floors. I asked for a broom and he informed me they only sweep after the winter months.
A few days later Ash sent another employee over to address me on my outfit; she informing me it didn’t meet dress code and said Ash was too intimidated by me to address me himself. She told me that she was confused with he’s feelings towards me because she didn’t see me as intimidating.
I was confused as to why everyone was standing around not working when Business was slow, thinking they could be training me so I could actually help the customers so I asked around but the only advice I got was it take time for me to learn the store.
Monday the 2nd. The store manager, Ash, asked me to sigh he’s closing paper work before he had started it. I told him I wasn’t blindly signing the cash bank slip so he asked another employee to sigh it. I walk way to inform the other new employee (a minor) not to sign something he is unaware of. He told me he signs what the manger asked him to sign.
Soon after Ash gave me a review; telling me that I was “prickly“ and “unapproachable”, that all the employees and customers were afraid to talk to me. Informing me that I wasn’t approach customers correctly. That wasn’t my experience with them at all. He told me that if I said the sky is pink it doesn’t make it true. I got upset and walked out to the sales floor, I approached an employee I met for the first time that day and asked him what he thought of me. He said, I was nice, had a smile on my face and greeted him appropriately. Once I found out he was an employee I intruded myself and shook his hand. Ash was in fact present during this entire interaction. (Roughly around 630pm)
After that Ash told me to take some time to collect myself because he could tell I was upset but then proceeded to follow me around the store talking me. I asked him “why he was following and talking to me after insisting I took some time to myself?”
It seemed he was trying to get a rise out of me. He told me if I couldn’t calm down he was going to send me home. Before leaving he tried to get me to sign more papers but wasn’t telling me what he was trying to get me to sign.
There is definitely more to be said about what all happened in these few days I worked there but hopefully this is enough information someone can looking to the emotional manipulation this man is causing in this store and the fraud behind him getting everyone to sign documents they’re unaware of.
