I brought my hedgehog home just after Valentine's Day, and even from the very beginning she has been healthy and well socialized. And she's so beautiful! My pictures don't do her justice. This breeder is so conscientious. She really cares for the well-being of her animals and makes sure that the people who buy her hedgies understand their needs and can provide that. I wholeheartedly recommend her, whether you are looking to be a first time owner or you're already a hedgehog enthusiast. I would definitely consider using her boarding service if I need a sitter, and I love that she has kept track of local vets recommended by other owners. All that just shows how much care she gives to all aspects of owning and selling these very special animals.

This has been a long time coming review but life got in the way! We took in 2 beautiful girls (1 retired momma ("Merm" and 1 rescue adult who had not been socialized very well who is now known as "Phoenix") Both of these girls are amazing and fit in great with my family! I was told be prepared that the rescue may not be able to be handled and may be more of a pet just loved from afar but with a lot of love, patience, and attention she is now very social and can be handled by my entire house and lives to her new name with rebirth and has been having an amazing fresh start! Thanks for our precious babies and will definitely keep you in any future plans!

We just purchased our first hedgehog. I really appreciate all of the info. We have received from Jonell. She has made the transition so easy to get our hedgehog used to her new home. It has been a wonderful experience.

I got my hedgehog just a week ago and my life has changed so much!Morning Star Hedgehogs website is so organized and gives you so much information about how to properly take care of the hedgehog and prepare you for it. The breeder makes sure that you know what you're doing and making sure the cage is perfect for your little friend. She takes the upmost care of the hedgehogs and there is nothing wrong with them. When you get your friend she also gives you a ton more information which is really helpful. Getting a hedgehog from here is way better than trying to find one at a pet store! The process of getting him was very simple and worth it too.My hedgehog is perfect. I got him a week ago and fell in love! He was in perfect health and everything when I got him, his personality is showing and he is the best! I am so thankful I found this place before any other one!REMINDER: It is better to get your dream hedgehog here than from a pet store or another breeder!

We got our little Vince about a month ago and absolutely adore him, and are very happy with our multi-colored eared hedgehog.Jonell was very helpful and knowledgeable, and responsive to all of our questions. We especially appreciated the welcome folder she provided, which included thorough instructions on how to care for him and the steps to take to ease his transition.The day we picked him up was extremely cold, but Jonell helped make sure our travel setup was warm and cozy for our trip to Madison.

I purchased my hedgehog from morning star hedgehogs. I will say she is very professional and is more than happy to help you along the way with your hedgehog. I had several questions before getting my hedgehog just to make sure I was going to be the best I could be for my hedgehog. She was quick to response and always was willing to help me out. When I picked my hedgehog up, she gave me a folder with all of the hedgehog’s information as well as a care guide to help you along the way with your hedgehog. Thank you again and I would recommended her to anyone looking to purchasing a hedgehog! ?

Jonell is absolutely wonderful.We recently got our hedgehog from her.We had done research before but we received so communication on how to care for our hedgehog. The pick up process was easy. The hedgehog was beautiful and incredibly sweet. Jonell puts so much love and care into her business. Jonell is a very informative and knowledgeable breeder who ensures the best lives for her herd. From the moment I walked through her door, the education began and I left feeling very informed and prepared to be able to give my hedgie the life she deserves! Jonell answered all of my questions and was quick to respond to previous e-mails prior to our meeting and made me feel comfortable to know that I can continue to use her as a resource. Her passion and care for these animals shows 100%!Edit: I’ve now had Miso for nearly 4.5 years and Jonell continues to amaze me with her prompt responses for any questions I might ask. I also love that she provides boarding so I can travel with ease knowing Miso will be pampered while I’m away!

I just got my hoglet yesterday and Jonell was super nice. She help me to understand everything I need to know about going home with my new baby. My new baby is so perfect. This lady really do love her hogs! I can tell by her passion when she speaks.

I honestly cannot rave enough about Jonell and Morning Star Hedgehogs. She has been there with support and answering every single question I have since the first email. She is SO knowledgeable and you can tell she really cares for her animals, it is not just business to her. If you are looking for a hedgehog and are willing to put in the work to properly care for them, Morning Star is the way to go! Love my girl so much.

I highly recommend Morning Star Hedgehogs!! From the initial email I sent, to picking up my sweet girl-Jonell was SO helpful every step of the way. She answered all my questions, is so passionate about what she does, and treats each baby like family. I know my sweet Hattie has known she was loved since day 1. I can't say enough good things about Morning Star Hedgehogs. From my initial inquiry through now, Jonell has been incredibly helpful and has answered every question (and more) that I've had. As a first time hedgehog owner, there's a lot of uncertainty and it's been great having a reliable person to go to. When I first got my hedgehog, she was very skittish and Jonell made sure to offer advice to get her to warm up and get more comfortable. In less than a month, my baby is happy to be handled and doesn't have as much of an attitude.
