Big, well organized store. Calmer than most walmarts. My first choice when I go to one and it's the third closest. Well staffed and stocked. Except for toilet plungers.

Avoid this store. I purchased a pre paid phone for my mother,who is very sick and wanted a second phone in case her primary phone had an issue. The phone , straight out of the box was missing the SIM card and the phone would not take a charge at all. The phone was faulty. I went to just trade it in ,and get one that worked. When I went to the electronics dept, I was told I needed to return the old phone and repurchase a new one. Then when I proceeded to do this, I asked for assistance when I purchased the new one. I was then told that the phone person was not there and I had to wait until they showed up. I waited until 10 minutes after the phone person should have been there . Nobody. So I asked what should I do and was basically told I should just go elsewhere. I then went to customer service to return the faulty phone and and activation card I had purchased. They said they would refund the phone, but the activation card was non refundable. They said that I did not purchase the phone from Walmart, but it is an outside company that handles the phones. I pointed out that my receipt was from walmart, the employee, that sold me the phone was a walmart employee and I bought it in a Walmart store. Customer service then told me that it did not matter and it was not a walmart issue and would not issue a full refund. I asked for a Manager and was told there were no managers present in the store. They suggested that I just take my partial refund and go elsewhere to purchase another phone. Yes, this is completely truthful. I then went to the location at Western Shawnee. The employees were extremely helpful, they informed me that if I wanted a full refund, it should have been done because if you make a purchase from them, you are entitled to a full refund if necessary. The employees, then got me a new phone, and answered my questions, and even set the new phone up. I left with the new phone in less than 15 minutes. I hope many people read this an understand, that when walking in the walmart at Shawnee Mission Parkway, you will get to experience some of the worst customer service in the state of Kansas. I assume the Target next door to them does well, since the employees of this place tell their customers to go elsewhere to make their purchases

Once attempted to use this pharmacy, however, every single time I picked meds up, there was some sort of a problem. 100% of the trips ended up being a problem. I gave up and now use a different pharmacy.

New Year's Eve I bought a piece of chicken ate it and it almost killed me Somebody did not such good shape Probably wouldn't have made it.

Do not waste your time with store pick-up. Half of the time it would be faster just going inside. They delayed my order then I showed up at the new time and not a single pick-up spot was available and they would not answer my call so no ability to even check-in. After waiting and seeing no cars being filled, I just went home. Hours wasted on my weekend and still no groceries. They cannot handle store pick-up and this will probably not save you any time.

I when here to get my oil changed waited two hours went to get in my truck it was turned off in reverse. Went to check the oil just the other day the oil was overfilled the power steering fluid was out other fluids seemed okay. The reason I'm complaining is I waited two hours I would think waiting those two hours they would do their job right. I would highly recommend checking their work when you get your vehicle back.

If you are thinking about coming to work at this particular store, I have one word for you. DON’T!There is a manager/coach at this particular store by the name of Neva or Nema who is horrible to deal with. She allowed the little bit of power she has in her position get to her head. Oh, help me to set the scenario for you. I work as a marketing rep for an unnamed company, and this particular store is one of my locations that I have to visit. Whenever I go into the store, I get met with attitude and extreme scrutiny from this, person.For example, one of the things I am required to do is to take photos of the equipment that I interact with, as well as the employees of the store, interact with and use. And all this person kept doing was giving me an attitude, questioning everything that I did, and kept bringing up the name of one of my colleagues about why he wasn’t here doing my job. I work for the store all of two weeks, and I quit because of this person.

I came at 12.30am, (they work till 7.00 pm) for an oil change. They have two lines for oil change. In one line were 3 cars in the second 2 cars, the third mine. The employee said that they won't be able to change today... So they change oil with the speed of 1 hour per car for two lines!?... Obviously employees work for time passing, not for clients service.....

We buy 2 bags of ole roy dog food every week along with several other items. The lady at the exit stops us every week because the very large bags of old roy are not in a walmart bag. If target sold old roy we wouldnt shop at this Walmart again. Ridiculous.
