Bad Customer Service. Going in for a gallon of paint to be mixed to match my previous gallon. I brought in the can with the codes that I previously purchased at another location. Same paint, and when I got home and opened the paint it seemed to be just the base color no color added. Anyway mistakes happen but when I called back the customer service was not nice, and I didn’t like being called boss. I’m not trying to be anyone’s boss. I would have liked to be told, “we’re sorry for the mistake and if you bring the can back in we will get you taken care of.” Instead it was a bad time of voice and a “well there’s no way it could have not gotten any color if it has a code.” My wife went back in the next day and a different employee also was rude to her. Just wanted to give some feedback. We won’t be going back to this location.

Caleb was very helpful and accomplishing getting the correct colors for my project. He went out of his way to make sure I got the right colors and product. He called the Lake of the Ozarks location and got all of the information that I needed so I didn’t end up buying paint that would do me no good at all I really appreciate that. The amazing thing is, he was the only person at the store and handled doing all this plus getting other customers taken care of, they need another Caleb.

Very disappointed in the customer service. We have been using Sherwin-Williams for all of our paint projects recently, but that will not be the case after this experience.On 7/5/23, I was short paint so I asked my wife to go grab one more gallon as we needed to finish the project that night before tenants moved in. It was 5:50pm and she noticed the store closes at 6pm. We only live 3 min away but by the time she loaded up our toddler it would be cutting it close and since both of us have worked in customer service, we understand how annoying it can get when someone walks in last min. Knowing this she called the store at 5:53pm asking if she could get a gallon of paint mixed up, that she lived just a few min away, and she would head that way. The response she received was that they could mix it up so she loaded our toddler and headed that way. She arrived at the store at 6:02pm and the doors were already locked. She could see employees in the store but they ignored her. She tried to call the store to say she was the person that just called for a gallon of paint but there was no answer. Finally, an employee came to the door and very rudely told her that they closed at 6pm, that they mixed up the paint, but that she could come back in the morning. What terrible customer service after my wife gave them the courtesy to call ahead so all she had to do when showing up was to pay for the paint. If anything they should have told her that she would need to be at the store before 6pm to prevent the hassle of rushing to the store. She was in tears when she called me because of this employee. We'll make the extra drive to another location or a different company entirely because of this experience.

Hands-down the place to go to get professional support. I worked with Jeff the store manager today for numerous hours, familiarizing myself with the painting process. It was clear that he was used to dealing with professional painters because of the time that I came into the store, but he said aside his time to help me personally conceptualize how to tackle this task, 1000% I would recommend going with the Sherman Williams because of the commitment to excellence by Jeff.

Good location. Great knowledge and service at this store! Couldn’t remember the type of paint we used. Their staff got us taken care of right away. They are out of some products due to raw material shortages. Can’t fault them for that. Products speak for themselves.

Stood in line for 15 minutes while two people helped one person and putzed around on the paint machine without acknowledging me or saying they'd be right with me... Poor customer service.

We are new small business owners in Lenexa, and Preston has been a HUGE help in the process! Without even asking for details on paint or who I am or my business, he knows and remembers. He’s knowledgeable when deciding on types of paint and is extremely personable! Highly recommend.
