This store needs a total overhaul in employees as well as products. The produce is inconsistent. Some look good some look terrible. The fresh meat department is iffy. I stopped in to pick up two items and was disgusted.

Terrible... Deli and hot food bar, looks like the food has been left out for days. Poor customer service. Don't waste you time at this store.

Clean store with a great variety of items. Prices are reasonable as long as you sign up for the rewards card.

I’m writing this with a heavy heart and deep frustration. I’ve visited this Price Chopper location many times—mainly because it’s annoyingly convenient for quick stops, like grabbing coffee we forgot to pick up—but not once have I ever walked in and felt safe, welcome, or respected.
As a Native Hawaiian woman, and sometimes accompanied by my Black partner, we have both been subject to what feels like blatant racial profiling and discrimination. But it’s not just when we’re together—it happens when I shop alone (which is often), and she’s experienced the same when shopping on her own. The pattern is clear and consistent.
There are certain employees, usually near the self-checkout or in customer service, who watch me closely and uncomfortably the entire time I’m there. Their stares are intense and persistent—unmistakably different from how they treat people who don’t look like me. I’ve witnessed other shoppers receive friendly greetings, space, and kindness, while I’m met with silence, suspicion, and a sense that I don’t belong there.
This isn’t about store security doing their job—this is about the way they choose to treat people who look like me. I come from a good family, I’ve never stolen anything in my life, and even if I had, that would still never justify treating someone with prejudice or hostility.
On top of that, the store itself is lacking—poor produce, no deli, limited selection, and inflated prices. Yet somehow, the attitude from some employees suggests a sense of superiority and judgment toward people they don’t recognize or relate to.
I sincerely urge store management to take a hard look at the way customers are being treated and invest in cultural sensitivity and anti-bias training. You serve a public community. People of different races, backgrounds, and identities will continue to walk through your doors—and they deserve to feel safe and respected when they do.
We are supposed to be part of a nation that values diversity. I was taught that America is a melting pot—that different perspectives and people make us stronger. But walking into this store, I’m reminded just how far we still are from living up to that.
