I shopped at this store today. The front end cashier acted like a Zombie. No greeting, No words exchanged,No, "the price of your purchase is", and no thank you.This is not the first time I've been dissapointioned in the service here at this "small town" retailer but this time is definitely the last time I'll stop in.

When I first moved to Salina, I needed some hardware for my apartment and I lost a screw from my desk during the move. I took a matching screw into the store, an employee measured it for me and then walked me around until we found a suitable replacement. I would have been in there all afternoon trying to figure it out if they weren’t so helpful. Pricing is fair from what I can tell, and all of the employees seem friendly.

Bought a set of ball valves that were overpriced to begin with, get to the register to pay and they were over 40% more expensive than the sticker on the shelf... Let them know about and waited 20 more minutes to have them mark the price down (they took it down 20% but couldn't honor the sticker price. This is when I noticed I could use another item, when I went to pay for this item I once again got charged an extra 40% of what the item was marked as. They clearly don't have it together on what the prices actually are. My time is worth more to me than going through this again on products that are marked up over 100% of retail price to begin with.Stores wonder why their customers rarely shop local anymore. People get sick of being having their time wasted and no one knows what the price actually is until they get up front.

Always friendly and helpful although not everyone there is an expert they do their absolute best to get you what you need. But there is inevitably someone that will get you the answer you need.

Waters has always been the place to find that unique gift. I have shopped there many years starting out when it was on S. 9th St. Today I was in the store and it is being remodeled. I am asking if the owner will be selling the 2 old wooden parts bin. The big round one or the smaller square one. Thank you

I had to rent an auger due to a main sewer problem . I had done extensive research about the issue and was willing to do myself instead of hiring a plumber. I picked up the auger in my van took it to my house witch is about 2 blocks away. Unloaded it began to use the auger upon my first run noticed the reverse was not working properly. Then I manually reversed it and finished up my use of the auger this way doing passes til the clog was gone . Upon my return I notified the check in gentlemen that the reverse was not working correctly. After an hour I was called and told the I had broken the switch, and now had to pay an additional 50.00 . This switch was faulty from my very first use and was not something that I would have noticed being that way. This was my first time renting this type of equipment so I had no clue what a proper switch even looked like. I was also informed that despite the switch being something used by every customer it not covered by the damage waver for being a normal wear item. I am extremely disappointed not being given a proper rental contract at time of renting. I am also disappointed that the red toggle that was never on the auger was blamed on me. (Some how lost and broke in a 2 block trip from the store in a van). The biggest upset was that I was told I was a liar by the employee working there. This event will change my outlook on this store. I hope in the future your rental department discloses to its customers to take photos of its equipment and to check it over before they leave the store.

Shopping here is great! But DO NOT RENT Their equipment. It is not tested before being rented out again. Rented a tiller it didn't work. Returned it and was told I would get a refund, never happened. Called and the "manager" in the rental department was rude and unprofessional.
