“I was driving back to Canada and 2 miles out of my scheduled overnight in Salina Kansas, I experienced a sudden loss of power and more than a couple warning lights on the dash. I was able to nurse it to my hotel for the night.The next morning, the car ran fine, no lights on the dash, very mysterious. I went to Downtown Auto Service based on their Google reviews and was not disappointed. He was up front and said he couldn't do a repair for me that day, but he did scan the car, and gave me the trouble codes. He also phoned all over Salina looking for the part I needed, (no one had one in stock) and kept looking until he found a dealership with the part about 60 miles away. He provided some advice on how to deal with the issue if it happened again during my travels. Although I ended up not having any work done here, they went out of their way to help me out with pinpointing the problem, locating the part, and giving me advice which helped me decide my best course of action for repairs. “We blew a tire on the highway on our truck, didn’t even call anyone for help as we thought we would have managed ok on our own, a driver for Pomp’s happened to be driving by and immediately stopped to offer help. We are very grateful since our spare was flat, and our jack wasn’t quite going to get the truck high enough off the ground. He very quickly helped us get it changed and added air to the tire. We are so thankful for the unexpected help!”

“For a couple years I've been experiencing issues with my truck and everywhere I took it (including dealership) they would just tell me my 02 sensors needed replaced. Well after them going out constantly and the final straw was them not even lasting a month, a friend recommended Channel Ridge. Matt took the time to check over everything and turns out my pcm was actually the issue the entire time. Matt not only helped resolve this nuisance and pricy issue from all the sensors I went through, but he was very professional, friendly, fast service.
