“Homewood Suites in Salina has the kindest staff and has the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. I thought the hotel was built just months before as wear and tear is not prevalent anywhere. Additionally, Melanie at the front desk is incredible! Professional, kind, quick to offer assistance and resolution. This hotel runs like a well-oiled machine. I will be back!”

“Motel is newly remodeled. Price is really good for a hotel in Salina. I wouldn't feel safe walking around outside alone at night. Rooms appeared very clean! I wish other guests would not slam doors to their room.”

“During the most difficult days of my life, the staff generously put together a food basket for our little family when our son died. We had come to visit and soon realized it was time for his suffering to end. His 3 yr battle with bone cancer . We were going to do laundry, the machine was not working. One young lady offered to take our laundry to her house to wash and dry. Another gsve hugs kind words from them all. Their kindness and generosity will forever stay in my heart. The world does have angels and we were blessed to be where we were in our darkest hour. God Bless you all for healing when we needed it most. Our baby boy who would have been44 on 12/24/23. Is at the feet of Jesus, with his big brother. Our most sincere thanks hugs and gratitude. The Gomez family in 105”

“Very accommodating staff. Clean room. Nice, hot tub and spa. Nice pool temperature. OK breakfast but could be better. Overall good though. Thankful for their shuttle availability to get to KWU for my workshops this week. Recommended for people like me traveling on business whether you’re alone or with a companion.Walkability: The ponchos, Mexican, fast food next-door is fantastic but it is drive-through only after hours.”

“I gave it a five star because the rooms were clean, staff very friendly. Not a fancy hotel by any means, but not a dive either. If you need a clean, quiet place to stay that won't break the bank, this place should do fine.”

“My fiancé and I had the pleasure of staying here while road-tripping from Washington to Oklahoma for his sisters wedding. Not only were the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, the shower hot, and every single TV option included with the room - but the owner was unbelievably kind and accommodating. He made the stay so much more enjoyable with his helpful and sweet manner that he displayed to both of us! We will ABSOLUTELY be back. Don’t pass up this little gem - it’s quiet, has less guests, and is more than deserving of your attention!Rooms: The king size bed that we had in the room was firm, but very comfortable. The room was large, the air worked VERY well on hot and cold both, and the TV had every single option imaginable. There was Wi-Fi, and the shower worked fantastically as well! But really - it was warm, clean, and VERY comfortable. He also fixed the connection issue the next day (my fiancé messed it up lol) and went out of his way to make us feel as at home as possible in the room. Seriously though - the bed was awesome lolSafety: There was a small incident among other guests (domestic dispute in another room) and the owner wasted NO TIME before checking in, ensuring the safety of the victims (mother and child), and offering support and ensuring safety protocols were followed so all guests were safe and felt comfortable.Food & drinks: Breakfast is provided, there is a hot and cold water dispenser in the lobby, and 2 different vending machines for any midnight snackage needs!”

“We had a very nice overnight stay with our 91-year old mother and our little dog at this property. ANDREA at the front desk was especially notable as she was genuinely friendly and professional. She made a special point (without being asked) to bring us a step-stool so mom could more easily get into the tall bed. She also provided us with a couple extra blankets to ensure our comfort. ANDREA was the star of the show! Our room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast was very satisfying.Thank you - Eric & Susan, Colorado”

“We chose this hotel because we’ve Stayed here several times, and my kids loved the pool with the slide. Showed up to check in and was told the pool is closed for maintenance. I asked if we could cancel, because I had just booked it the night before through their website. They said no, I asked if we got a discount, NOPE! This is horrible service. They said they posted it on their website saying the pool is closed. You have to click in to (hotel details) to read that it’s closed. For a person that has stayed here before and knows they have a pool with a slide, means you’re not going to click in to the hotel details. I became a member when I booked, I now regret it, And will never stay here again.”

“It would have been nice if the morning cook was there for the free breakfast. He called in to say that he would be there late. Too bad. Rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfortable except for people above us were very noisy and late into the night.Safety: We felt very safe staying here.”

“We ended up staying here last minute during a 20 hour cross country drive that was interrupted by inclement weather conditions. The staff were very kind and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed slept GREAT! The continental breakfast was also one of the better ones that we have had. We would definitely recommend any traveler take a rest here.”

“First, as usual the Choice Hotel is clean and comfortable. More importantly, Jimmy at the front desk at night is an absolute delight. He's helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and a really great representative of the Choice Hotel family. We stayed here on a Wednesday and again on Sunday and we were SO glad to see that Jimmy was working again on Sunday. He'll "leave a light on for you!!"”

“After having hotel rooms where dogs had chewed holes in the furniture or scratched holes in the doors or soiled the carpet. This Not pet friendly hotel was GREAT.For people with pet allergies there should be more. Or at least floors with no pets..This place was very clean with great service and a great breakfast.. Wish there were more like this one.”

“Front desk clerk was pleasant and efficient. They were remodeling and it was a mess. Kinda sketchy surroundings. Checked in at 10:30 and left at 5:300 next morning, so an okay place just to get some sleep.”

“First let me start off with I stay at Motel 6's all the time when traveling between Kansas and Colorado every weekend. Are they always great? no - Are they inexpensive and convenient? yes. With that being said this is THE WORST MOTEL 6 I have ever stayed at in my life. I was in room 106, it's on the back side of the hotel, apparently the side where all the "permanent residents" stay. The people in the room left of mine were associated with the people in the room right of mine and they were in and out and in and out and in and out between the two all night long, making sure the slam the door shut as if it were never to be opened again each time. Not only were they in and out of the rooms but they were in and out of the shower, I feel like I heard the shower turn on and off at least a dozen times an hour between the 2 rooms. When I say all night, I mean until the sun came up. I must say their decorative taste is amazing though, consisting of cardboard curtains set up and cluttered garbage scattered all over flowing into the outside side walk aka their front yard. They have the whole set up though with a grill and lawn chairs, I am sure the school district is top notch along with the low HOA fees. All jokes aside though I highly recommend staying somewhere else, I promise the extra $10 you'll pay will be worth it.The police patrol the parking lot fairly often throughout the night, thankfully they stop using the "WHOOP, WHOOP" loud siren before 1 am. I have never felt more unsafe in my entire life and I have my CCW on me at all times. Needless to say I didn't get any sleep thanks to my "neighbors." They sit at the doorway and smoke and it doesn't smell great. There were burnt holes in my comforter, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used to rent out room 106 in addition to 107 and 105. I almost forgot to mention the trash car, a car with 5 industrial sized bags stacked on and around it, all night, and it rained so it was soggy trash in the morning. You can hear every semi-truck on the highway, and if the crazy people are quiet you can actually hear bugs crawling around between the bed and the wall. I woke up with one bug bite on my back and I only managed to lay on top of the bed, in my day clothes with my own blanket for a few hours. It's also very close to a small airport that seems to have plans and helicopters landing all night long. I will be certain never to stay at this Motel 6 ever again, but I will still be using Motel 6 in general. This place needs a lot of work though and seriously don't put out-of-town guests between people living there. It was very clear I only booked one night. And please don't tell me "no vaping" when you see my vape when I check in, there's literally people smoking cigarettes while sitting in a chair with the door open - the door that has a decorative "No Smoking" sign on it.All jokes (even though I am not kidding) aside though - don't stay here.Rooms: It's Motel 6, you can expect burnt comforters and tweakers crawling around all night long riding their clankity bicycles around at 330 in the morning. Floors are cracked and dirty, I wouldn't have noticed but I was wearing white socks. Showers are also pretty in the bottom, it looks like the bottom only gets cleaned once a month, if that.Safety: Not a safe place to be, especially as a solo traveler, they have sex trafficking warning when you check in at the front desk. People live there at the motel and they stay awake all night and slam doors and yell and walk their dog randomly 7 times an hour. The security blots don't even work, they are hanging on by a thread.Noteworthy details: It's trashy. The people there are sketchy. The rooms are not in wonderful shape, they are run down.”

“You get what you pay for. Friendly and efficient check-in. Carpet not vacuumed as evidenced by pebbles and small dirt clods on the floor. Not much of a breakfast. Reasonably comfortable bed. Old furnishings. Like I said, you get what you pay for.”

“Room was great! From the outside it looks rough but it’s under construction. We only stayed for a night so we didn’t need anything fancy. Front desk was nice. WiFi worked, tv worked, clean room. Breakfast was muffins. No complaints!”

“Moises was very friendly and helpful getting checked in! We felt welcomed right away with his smile and kind personality! He was very accommodating as he noticed we were rooming next to where some improvements were being made late at night so he moved us to a quieter room (: we appreciate all he did to make our stay as comfortable as can be!”
