Our car developed electrical issues while heading to Salina on the interstate. We made it to Conklins where it died. They found that the alternator had failed. They were able to get that problem fixed along with some other things we knew needed done. Mike was very helpful and knowledgeable and kept us informed.

Wrecked my Jeep Cherokee & choose to take it here. It had lights on the dash. Don Lewis the body manager or whoever said they cleared the codes. Like WHAT? I told him that was NOT ACCEPTABLE!! That they needed to be looked into. I asked him what would happen in a week or month what I was suppose to do than. He said "get ahold of your insurance company". AGAIN UNACCEPTABLE!! I know one was the ABS & that's a safety issue. So again. I would be without a vehicle or even broke down on the side of the road at 5am cause it might catch on fire cause he said it "was probably a electrical issue". I highly doubt he even had a mechanic look into it. Also said they couldn't fix the alingingment cause a seized bolt to the frame. Other half is a well known mechanic around the area even though that's not his job. For a 17 yr old Jeep with not even over 200,000 miles it was running well & very well maintained by him. Now we're having to trailer it home cause they put it back together "as best as they could". Don is very unprofessional & made me feel like a liar when I told him "there wasn't ONE LIGHT" on that dash before the wreck. Just because I'm a woman I felt that he was acting like I didn't know what I was talking about. When I told my other half about the codes that they just "cleared them" he was PISSED!! I wouldn't recommend this body shop to anyone if I was offered a new Jeep!! This place is a JOKE!!

I was having issues with my seatbelt, took my vehicle down there for service under the assumption that warranty would have covered it, but with a small mishap, my buckle was underneath my seat cushion. there was a labor charge just shy of $100 that I just could not justify spending for something so small. I would’ve been more eased of mind if I just got a phone call explaining the issues and saying they can get it fixed for that fee. Service advisor was relaxed, and explained the whole situation and ended up waving that fee. I do appreciate that.

Coming from Colorado Aug. 15th, 23, as our Honda CR-V approached the I35 turnoff to Wichita, our car started shutting down. It turned out it was out of gas because the fuel sensor had failed and our gauge said we had 1/4 tank. We were going to fill up in Salina anyway. I called Conklin and ask if they had a tow truck, they said no. As it turns out they use Davis towing. They didn't say they would call them. We ended up calling Salina wrecker, but they said they would be there in 30 min. Davis called and said they would be there in 15 and they towed our car to Conklin. It was after 5, so they informed us the techs had all left and no one could look at our car until morning. So, we're stranded with no car and no place to stay. Luckily the Country Inn wa next door, so we stayed there. Next morning, we go over and they were pushing it in the service area. The battery had also died by this time, so they put a charger on it, then didn't put it on the diagnostics until 10:00. Turns out it was a bad fuel sensor and they said they would have to order one from Denver. Couldn't do that until they checked with Honda warranty on the warranty forever program. The fuel pump and sensor was covered, but they wouldn't order the part until they said it was okay. We rented a car and drove home yesterday and I called my Honda dealer in Joplin, the closest one to us. We are 200 miles southeast of Salina. The service rep there said all they should have done was put five gals of gas in it, charged the battery and we could have filled it up and driven on home. They told us none of this. This is a common problem with Honda. After diagnostics told them the problem, they said they would order the part. When I called out this morning, they had not. This is when I got my Honda dealer involved who called Honda warranty, got it approved so they could order the part. So, I called Conklin back and said, we will be coming up there tomorrow, Aug. 18th and my car better be ready. If it isn't, then they put gas in it and we will come on home. They did charge the battery. I believe they treated us very poorly when it was simply fix to get us on the way and we could fix the fuel pump/sensor problem after we got home. I would never go back there no matter what.

We drove our daughter's Honda Civic from SoCal to Kansas. A/C wasn't cooling and the tires sounded like they were slapping against the concrete. Called Conklin and made an appointment. I was greeted by Jeff in Customer Service, I informed him of the issues, he promptly had a diagnostic test performed,. Jeff informed me of the crack in the a/c compressor shaft, He also discovered the crack was covered under my warranty!! He also found 4 matching tires which were replaced with the original tires. The original tires were cupping which caused the excessive noise. Jeff is an exemplary example of the ultimate customer service! His friendly, professional, responsive attitude made it an ideal and stress free experience!! Thank you Jeff! Conklin is fortunate to have such an experienced and caring employee!
