Always giving the best care to our pups! We really appreciate how much care they give and how fast they react when something happens and we need to visit!

Tomahawk Animal Hospital is the best. Our Sunny’s health took a nose dive several months ago and at just 2.5 years old we didn’t know what to do. Both Dr Krauss and Dr Brown took such good care of Sunny both managing her symptoms but also pursuing the underlying cause. Dr Brown called on multiple occasions to chat about her wellbeing and what tests we could pursue next. He even consulted with specialists. Eventually we got to the bottom of her symptoms and found a diagnosis and she is a completely different dog on her medication!! Full of life, so much energy and her fur is all growing back in! All the staff know Sunny by name and have been so sweet with her drawing blood, giving fluids, etc. so thankful for this place!

Tomahawk Animal Hospital staff is family! They love all fur babies and treat the owners with such compassion and care. Our family has dealt with three of our fur babies passing all within a short time. The staff was just exceptional and took and continue to take care of us. Highly recommended!!

The staff and veterinarians at Tomahawk have bent over backwards helping me in caring for my very senior dog. She's had numerous challenges recently and while it would be easy to give up they have worked with me to provide care to improve and sustain her quality of life. They are kind and considerate as well as responsive to my many requests.

These guys took great care of our dog throughout his life. Dr. Kraus and his team stayed an hour after closing so that my wife and kids could come say goodbye when it came time to put our dog to sleep.

Always incredible service, done with care for the client's animal. My family has done business here for 15+ years and have never had to consider anywhere else. Dr. Kraus and his team are true professionals as well as genuine animal lovers.

Couldn't be a nicer group of people who genuinely love what they do. It's a pretty small facility so it's basically one in/one out which makes your wait minimal. Great experience with our new kitten. Thank you Tomahawk Animal Hospital.

Don’t take your animals to Tomahawk Animal Hospital for a neuter! My 56 pound year old dog went in to be neutered and it cost me $1007.71!!! The vet had told me about a study done in 2022 about how it’s better to wait until the dog is 12 to 15 months old before getting them fixed when I asked about how much it would cost to get him neutered at his 6 months shots. The vet advised that it would cost around $500 depending on weight and that I should wait.
I watch a female lab that is 6 months older than my male and she was spayed for $450 at the same clinic by the same doctor 9 months ago. At the time of the females spaying she weighed 70 lbs. Under the advise of my vet, I waited to get him fixed until he was over a year old. I did ask my vet at my his last set of puppy shots how much would it cost to get him neutered and the vet told me about $500 depending on his weight when he’s 12 to 15 months old which was inline with the what other vets charge.
On Friday 2/23/24 - the date of my dog’s neutering I called 3 separate veterinary clinics for a quote. Mill creek animal hospital was $525. Roland park veterinarian clinic was $533. Mission animal clinic was $453 without pain meds.
I have been in contact with Tomahawk Animal Hospital. Their response was they did comparable with other clients in the past year that have had their dog neutered and they did charge me correctly ($1007.71). The office manager Gail looked into the bill and said she’s sorry for my frustration but their prices are inline with industry standards. They also state they have had 2 price increases in the last year.
Tomahawk Animal Hospital has now lost a customer with 2 dogs. Both of my dogs have 3 appointments in the next 2 months for shots. My previous visit in May 2023 $192.79 per dog.
