What a GREAT locally owned hardware store. THEY EVEN WILL RECYCLE YOUR SINGLE USE AA BATTERIES!! It’s the only place in the metro I could find that offers this. No, IKEA, Home Depot and Walmart DON’T even tho Google says they do. EUSTON’S DESERVES A PRIZE FOR ITS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES! Thank you EUSTON’S?

Yikes! Never again. Stopped in to shop for a door bell button. Youngish female sitting on the floor doing something with some merchandise… I said, “Excuse me, do you work here?”I was soft spoken as well as courteous. Her response was snotty and disrespectful as she mouthed off at me with, “well, yeah, if you’ll give me a minute.” Her tone was rude and unacceptable. I’m a 63 yr old woman… not her mother, not her grandmother, but if I was, she’d probably reconsider ever speaking to me in that manner again.

As with most of Prairie Village this store clings to its quaint mid-twenth-century charm and what it may lack in a logical floor plan or vast selection it more than makes up for in customer service. This small hardware store serves the local area and homes that were also built primarily in the '50 and '60, and so caters to having the parts and solutions needed for those homes. If you are looking for a slice of classic American you should stop by this store.

This is an old school hardware store with staff who actually know the stuff you don’t know but wished you did. I should have paid more attention in shop class—but the folks who work here will make you smarter and they won’t act like you are as d*** as you are. Richard helped me today. He reminded me a lot of my dad. Salt of the earth kind of guy who is always gonna give you a fair shake and do everything he can to help. Home Depot and Lowe’s are soulless blights on retail hardware. When you want service and great advice, go to where your dad would go. Go to Euston’s in Prairie Village. They’ve got your back.

I have been a happy customer of Euston for over 40 years-several of my children even worked there. On 9/21, We attempted to rent an aerator from Euston Prairie Village. The young man who loaded the machine into our car, placed 2 weights under the wheels of the machine - he seemed to know what he was doing - as we pulled away the aerator rolled backwards and shattered the back windshield. As a business owner one would think the store would admit to their error and compensate us accordingly. Unfortunately, not so. Very dissatisfied with my conversation with Matt the manager, who lacked manners and was disrespectful. He may need some education on how to provide good customer service.

This store is definitely out of my way, but it was worth the drive. The staff were very helpful, and got me set up with exactly what I needed. I got way better service than I have gotten at the big box stores. Thank you!

Always excellent customer service. Employees are exceptionally patient dealing with local yuppies. Yup. :) Great selection of home improvement items you won't find in a Home Depot or Lowes. The also have a small rental shop.

Euston's is a wonderful local hardware store with a friendly and helpful staff. They have many options that can save you a trip to one of the massive hardware stores.
