I go to this Casey’s ALL THE TIME and today was off. I wasn’t greeted as usual which I just blew off, but the checkout was the weirdest. The lady working had a vape lanyard (?) which I feel like any addiction including nicotine should not be beautified and worn around. I would be self-conscious, but be who you want to be I guess. As she was ringing me up she insisted to scan the fountain drink I got instead of just using the screen. I had the barcode facing me so she made a struggle out of it. During all of that, she was also playing on her phone as it sat on top of the register. As someone who has worked in customer service and gas stations since they were 14, that just felt wrong to me. She didn’t seem like she was pleasant as she did not smile.
