What is wrong with lenders getting more and more greedy. I used to be happy with KTCCU but all of a sudden it's a $10 fee to use my credit card as payment on top of the interest they already get from people. And when they changed how you get to the payment page I was late making my payment while I figured it out and they tack on a $95 late fee?? And making these changes in the middle of the holiday season without notification is beyond evil. They have never done that before and it was less than a week past due. People already barely make it as it is and you wanna get that damn greedy?! Beyond disappointed and never recommending this business to anyone again!

My son and daughter in-law take me to the bank with them all the time. We normally go through the drive through when we go since I am retired and disabled. Normally we use teller Joe S, if he is busy we use a curly headed woman. The two are always very kind to the family especially me. My daughter in-law says it’s because I’m a veteran and they should be treating me as kindly as possible and boy do they.5 STAR TELLERSI don’t bank with KTTCU so I cannot speak for their bank entirely.

I had originally rated KTCCU as low as possible as my wife and I had a very difficult time initially trying to open our local joint account. After hearing about the issues at hand, the new VP of the branch reached out to me and allowed my wife and I to access the required amount of money needed to stabilize ourself until checks clear and/or pay day. Things get hard for most at the end of the month, the new VP understood completely. Along with apologizing, for what we have chalked up as a misunderstanding, he has invited us in for a sit down to tell my wife and I about our financial options; IRA’s, stocks, CDs, Home loans etc…One of the tellers, Joe, a childhood friend, also reached out to my wife and I on his time off, just to apologize for the “misunderstanding” and to clarify a few extra things.for my wife and I.These two individuals together are the only reason that KTCCU will continue to receive not only our business but our trust as well.I was worried we needed to move half of our life savings from KTCCU into our primary chase bank savings and investment portfolio. However, it is clear now that we made a great decision trusting Kansas Teacher Community Credit Union as well.5 star Vice President5 star Teller5 star Bank

Can never get ahold of a live person, and god forbid they let you know they aren’t accepting your proof of insurance instead of force placing it and then charging you 6K for it and not refunding you all the money when you provide yet again proof that you’ve had insurance the whole time. Never again using this credit union.

This bank is a headache. Constantly restricted to accessing your own money. Limits for this and limits for that. Additionally, they have “system outages” regularly. When these system outages happen there is absolutely no way to use your debit card. So if you happen to be out of town when this happens and no access to a KTCCU branch, then you will not have the ability to access your money even in an emergency. My son, for example, is out of town today with his gas light on. When he stopped to get gas, his card was declined. When I called and found out there was a system outage, I explained to them my sons only access to his money is the debit card in his pocket, there was zero solution to be given. I have had to leave work to go up to the branch and withdraw cash, only to drive two hours away, to put gas in my sons car because he can’t access his bank account via a branch or his debit card. A “system outage” tends to be a monthly issue at the very minimum. This is absolutely unacceptable.

This bank has so many rules that you find out after the fact. Hard to work worth, can’t use the debit cards are certain places because they are not accepted. Rude people, If you do not share the same last name as family they will refuse payments on bills and never call. It is a home town headache really. Zero stars if I could

Paid off my vehicle by the payoff amount (actual payoff amount, not amount owed) listed on my online account by the due date and thought nothing of it. Over a month later, I received a letter regarding an overdue payment of THREE CENTS!! It cost more to mail the letter than my “overdue payment”. Not only that, but then with the fees, I ended up paying $15 for, again, THREE CENTS. Called the credit union, customer service did not help and nothing was resolved. Beware that the payoff amount is not the payoff amount and you’ll get charged way over. If they can be worried about their 3 cents, I can be upset about my $15.

You'd think with drive thru only they would have more than one teller at this time. And especially on a Friday. Cannot wait to finish paying this loan off I have with them.
