The people here are absolutely amazing. They don't badger you when you go in and you haven't paid your bill in a couple of months, they don't prescribe a ton of drugs and keep you all jacked up all day. They want you to functioning adult's and shekinah is amazing. She is so helpful with trying to get a schedule that you can work with and very easy to get along with.

If you're seeking to get treatment for your mental health, I would advise looking elsewhere. Front desk is frustrating to work with, especially Shachinah. The staff is also apathetic towards patients when expressing concerns regarding their mental health. In my personal experience working with Sandra for psychiatric help, she received a list from other psych professionals I have worked with in the past about diagnoses and past treatments and had straight up rejected my previous diagnosis of ADHD, withholding me from meds that could have helped with treatment sooner. I felt like I was not listened to as far as side effects to many new meds and it was the worst year I had ever had for my mental well-being. I really held out for hope that things would get better but they didn't.There's a reason why this place is reviewed so poorly. Please do not go here if you can help it.

What’s the point of going to therapy here whenever you can’t even see them more than once a month?

The therapist won't listen to you, doctor won't prescribe anything. Told me I had a condition that can't exist, according to the DSM5, and I lost all respect after that point. Will be including photos of my house, so you know it's not skitzoeffective, especially with a thyroid problem. Pictures they were in too much of a hurry to look at. I take Adderall, and smoke pot. It's like they forget I had ADHD, and that they don't actually listen to you if you are a man.

I've been a patient here for 14 years but, despite that, cannot recommend this place.Pros:~Before my counselor retired, she was very good and assisted me in getting diagnosed and treated!~The reception staff are polite and professional.Cons:~In 14 years I only saw the prescribing/supervising physician once. This was a mixed blessing as he had no bedside manner and was rude and dismissive of questions asked about medications and side-effects.~The nurse practitioner in charge of my care has little respect for her patients. She is consistently late, even for the first appointment of the day, often not even arriving at the office until 15-20 minutes past your appointment time.~She actively tried to discourage me from seeking diagnosis of ADHD and basically told me she wouldn't treat it due to my being disabled and "not needing" to improve my mental state. Two other medical professionals disagreed with her and her reasoning and encouraged me to seek treatment elsewhere. My experiences at this clinic were, on the whole, negative. I only put up with it for so long due to lack of other options in town. If you cannot make it to Joplin, this place is serviceable, but if you can seek treatment elsewhere, I would encourage you to do so.
