I've used Dwayne's a few times over the past three or four years. They currently have a roll of slide film of mine which I sent them a month ago. Just know that you're supporting a legacy when you send film to Dwayne's. It's not about speed. You may not see your film for a month. It might not be mounted onto slides like you explicitly requested. But it doesn't matter. If it did you'd have sent your film to The Darkroom or processed it yourself. Personally, I don't really like supporting Californxians and I don't have any E-6 chemicals. So Dwayne's it was. Sometimes they come through without a hitch and that's just icing on the cake.

I have used Dwayne's Photo as my primary film lab for years for 120mm developing and scanning, and used to recommend it highly to my photographer peers. The last few times I've sent in rolls (usually 3-4 at a time) I have received little to no communication from the staff without reaching out first, and it has taken ridiculously long. I am currently waiting on an order to be processed. It has been 5 weeks with very sparse and inconsistent communication regarding the status of my film and scans. I was told they would be done last week, and when I followed up this week I was told that they were waiting on the last roll to be scanned before they sent it all over. It's been another 24 hours and I still have not heard any updates or received my scans. Very disappointing, really. I would love to continue supporting them but will not be sending my film here again.

I sent a single roll of slide film with the expectation, set by a person at the company, that it would take 5-7 business days to have it processed, scanned, and mounted. Three weeks later I'd not heard anything so I called and was told they had it but it was still in process. Another two weeks after that, I called and they told me it had just been finished. So I expected I'd receive the scans by the next day; nope. I had to call and then they sent them to me. The scans were terrible so I spoke to someone who told me she needed to speak to the lab technician and I would get a call back. I did not receive a call. So I called again and spoke to someone who said "we performed the service so there's no refund option." I explained the service was not performed in a satisfactory manner but she just kept repeating herself. First time, last time. Don't do it.

I've been sending 3-4 rolls a month to Dwayne's for the past 5 years or so. I had tried several "top" labs before and was not happy with the quality and consistency. Ever since switching to Dwayne's I've been sending all my work to them. I shoot primarily B&W and E6 films and their work is far and away better than anyone else I had tried. I generally call and ask their turnaround times if it's a rush job because they sometimes get backed up, but otherwise I haven't had any issues.

Service is horrible. Sent order in in middle of August for 4 rolls of film: scanning, prints, etc. 120 type rolls of film. Today is September 18. No film. No scans. No prints. No contact sheets. No nothing except two "customer service" people who told me too bad. Paid in full for this on August 26. Might go out this week or next. Maybe. And just too bad, lady that's the deal. 8-12 business days for processing. Only work 4 days a week and Labor Day was in there too. Excuses, excuses, lousy service. Wouldn't order from there again for any reason. I would suggest you find another find someone else. Only putting 1 star but they don't even deserve that. It doesn't take a month and half to process 4 rolls of film but their attitude is too bad - That's the way it is. And not even an offer of overnight shipping for screw up. Just too bad. Go away. Well. Not using this group ever again.

I do not recommend this place - disorganized and unprofessional! I sent my film using the address that they provided and it was eventually returned by the post office as undeliverable - "Delivery attempted, addressee not known at place of address." When I contacted them about this, they had no suggestions other than to try to send it again from a different post office. Fingers crossed they refund my money as they said they would. I do not like that they make you pay in advance, and they are not offering to refund the money I spent to send the film in the first place.

I would not consider this store professional when comes film development and scans. I store failed to communicate they felt uncomfortable scanning I'm images but still charged me full price. They failed to communicate what their personal issues until I had to call and ask if they had mailed my negatives back and if they were going to email the scans I requested. Never Again

I was using their service over 5 years . Overall I WAS happy but recently something happened that I’m not planning to send my film to be developed by them. I sent 4 rolls of B&W film to be developed, scanned and make prints. Omg , results are terrible! I mean I’m not pro but I can’t believe I screwed 4 rolls of film . Basically I have thrown them in garbage. Another three rolls from same shooting I sent to HARMAN/ILFORD and prints and scans came out nice. I can’t recommend “this” facility especially for B&W and printsand scans. Yes, ordering scans and prints is just “pure” waste of money …stay away

First, they make you pay in advance for film processing and printing without even knowing if the film is good. Since it's difficult to find anyone still developing film, I decided to pay and send it in. I received my order back today with one noted unable to process and the other envelope with a handful of printed pictures that were basically not pictures at all but just blank or not pictures at all. They got my money and I got trash in return.. Don't use this company they rip you off.

Over 13 years of being a loyal customer… no phone calls or emails in regards to machines down- issues with printing magnets and buttons (pin back).\nCustomer service not only was extremely rude, but also HUNG UP on me!!

Dwayne's used to be a great business. Now, the lobby is closed up, they often don't answer their phones, they switched to an awkward ordering interface and their overall service has fallen into shambles. I'm very disappointed.

I sent in a roll of 110 film that had been shot in the 1980's. Although it took a month from door-door, I got prints back! They were not great prints, but given the age of the film, I was pleased to have prints at all. I'm taking one star for communication (did not get any confirmation when they received film, etc).
