Affordable, courteous, knowledgeable. No unnecessary treatment. Diagnosed and treated my pet’s problem. Saw us the same day I called. ?

Overland Park Animal Control took one of the colony cats, Barney, from my apartment complex to Wycliff after Barney sustained major injuries on property. The doctor made the decision to try to save him since I was willing to assume responsibility for Barney’s care once the city released him after the mandatory 5 day stray hold. They were extremely kind and patient with Barney and I, both. None of us were sure he was going to make it but two months later Barney is nearly 100% again. I’ve worked with Wycliff on a couple of other rescue related cases and have been extremely grateful for their no nonsense approach to thorough veterinary care.

Just moved my dog over to Nall Hill Animal Hospital & was amazed at how at ease I felt for the first time after a vet appointment. Something I’ve never felt after each appointment at Wycliff. I just continued to give them a chance because their price point is so cheap. I’ve just never truly felt heard when bringing my dog into Wycliff.
The vet tends to talk over me often, has actually blamed me for my dogs kennel anxiety (she loved her kennel prior to an emergency surgery. It was her safe space & she’d even use it during the day when I was home just to nap or relax. It was something I worked really hard to train her on when first bringing her home from the shelter).
When I brought her in for a possible emergency surgery, he told me that if I put a deposit down he could do the surgery so I asked how much he would need. He said “how much do you have?” & at that point I was wiped clean from the emergency vet the day before & in between pay periods so I only had $75 to give to which he replied “that’s not enough & you need to make a decision because I have another client in the next 5 minutes.” I understand he’s running a business but I’ve never felt so disregarded as a client before. I wish I was exaggerating those quotes as well.
After her surgery, I kept having to call the office on my own because no one was calling to give me updates. When I’d call they’d say they were waiting for her to have a bowel movement before releasing her but once she had her bowel movement, they’d say they were going to hold onto her for another night for observation. I wish I would have just put my foot down & picked her up because they ended up keeping her for the whole week for no reason which I whole heartedly believe is the cause of her sudden change in behavior towards her kennel following that surgery.
Lastly, I ended up having them put her on an anxiety med Trazodone. I told them how often I’d be using it & they’d only give me 10 pills at a time so I ended up having to refill it twice in a month. The second time I went in to refill they came out saying I shouldn’t be giving it to her everyday. When I went in a few months later to see if I could get her on Prozac for a daily use anxiety med, the vet acted confused & said I could use the trazodone. I told him what the front desk had told me previously & he said that was true.
All around, I just haven’t had a good experience & I'm hoping changing vets to Nall hill will help me & my dog feel more secure & taken care of.

When my senior cat started having issues and urgently needed help they squeezed him in and did everything they could for him. We went home with fluids and some medication but he was past the point of saving him and had to be euthanized just a few days later. He was equivalent to a 90 year old human. Wycliff did everything that could have reasonably been done but death is inevitable. They took amazing care of both us and made the process as easy as such an awful moment can be. Baggy was shown nothing but love and compassion here as well as me and my mother and I will NEVER forget the care and empathy Wycliff provided to my beautiful boy in his last moments. Im so grateful i trusted this vet staff to be some of the last people to ever love him. Thank you Wycliff ❤️❤️❤️

Dr Randy is excellent, super kind, and attentive with animals, he really takes his time to care for his patients very well, he cared to listen to me and explain to me very well about how to care for my dog. And the girls who work with him also offer very good service and customer service, especially Amanda, she helped me a lot with her recommendations! I love this clinic. Thank God I found it.

My son and daughter (15 and 17) brought our cat in recently, and they said the doctor was rude and condescending. He asked my daughter what kind of cat food we use, and when she said she didn't know, he started talking down to her. She said the whole experience was belittling. There are many choices for vets. I switched today.

The vet did a great job with an intense surgery for our family dog, at a really fair price as well. I take my cat here also. He just has a way with animals that puts them at ease. Great local family vet!

If I could I would give it 0 stars, I took my dog for sterilization and my dog after this surgery has cramps, it's like she wants to have a seizure and that happens for like a minute and then she vomits. I called this place and they told me she had to pay for a consultation and exams, when as an owner you know your dogs very well and you know what is normal and what is not and I am 100% sure that my dog was a healthy dog and never had this problem before, all this happened later of the surgery, I do not recommend this place at all

Dr. McCallum and his staff are wonderful. They took great care of my cat, Thunder, and their prices are very fair. My kids are immunocompromised, so we are still taking COVID precautions and I really appreciated that Dr. McCallum and his employees were willing to go over my cat's results and paperwork outside. Dr. McCallum was patient and answered all my questions.
