This is our third year at Goddard OP and I continue to be impressed with the dedication of the teachers/staff, the creativity that goes into activities/events and the quality of the curriculum. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this school and absolutely recommend it.

We moved my youngest from a different facility to The Goddard School and could not be happier about the change. The staff are top notch and really care about the children. The building is kept clean and tidy and there is always ways for parents to be involved. Being a smaller school really gives it a personal feel and the staff helps cement this. Nothing but positive experiences from us! I would highly recommend The Goddard School to anyone!!!

Goddard provides excellent education and care of our son. They purposely have guided educational activities that help to teach certain skills. I know that not only is my son well cared for, but he is also learning every day that he’s there. They have an app that allows parents to see the activities that are performed every day. I absolutely love the school. Would highly recommend to other parents.

I couldn't have asked for a better school for our son! We're new to the area and I was starting at a new job for the first time since Covid first happened. Our son just turned 2 and had some separation anxiety issues but the staff here have an absolutely phenomenal! By the second week he was no longer crying when I dropped him off and was happy to go to his teacher and see his friends. Even when I pick him up he's just happy to see me and not crying anymore at all!Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helps in his class for all your help and the peace of mind you have given me knowing we found the perfect place for us!

I wouldn't send my children anywhere else! These professionals love on my babies like I would and have been an integral part of their development. I always appreciate the open communication and how hard the leadership works to make the best decisions for the safety of their children - especially during this pandemic. I recommend Goddard to every parent I know!

The Goddard School in OP has done a wonderful job in helping care for our our kids. The staff is compassionate, informative, and genuinely vested in developing little ones. Daily reports are very helpful in monitoring the children's learning activities and eating habits.

I honestly don’t know where to begin in writing this review. I’ll start by saying The Goddard School of Overland Park was the best decision my family could’ve made in educating our Pre-schooler last Fall. This School met and significantly exceeded our every expectation. From their individualized approach to education, top-tier resources and facility, to their experienced and compassionate teachers and staff, the list just goes on and on. If you are looking to send your child somewhere to receive the best Early Childhood Education, please schedule a tour. Trust me!Myself and my son’s father (who is a professional athlete) explored countless options last Fall for our child, very concerned about adequate, secure schooling and functional COVID protocols (just like every other family). We wanted our son to be somewhere safe and secure but not compromise our expectations as far as preparing for Kindergarten. Goddard was simply the answer to our prayers. Not only is our son ready for Kindergarten but he has advanced personally and socially in a variety of ways! His remarkable teachers, Ms. Juli and Ms. Amy, were beyond compassionate and hands-on, both teaching each child in a way that is unique and developmental yet superlative for him or her. His teachers kept us in the loop by sending daily-logs, communication, and pictures through their Tadpoles system. This School is simply the best in the business! Our son graduated Pre-K and we opted to send him to their Summer Camp as well, which just wrapped up. Our Goodbye was a very tough one because it’s not everyday you find a school as exceptional as Goddard.Juli, Amy, Lynsey, and Shazia are undoubtedly the cream of the crop when it comes to Early Childhood Educators. If your family is looking for an Early Childhood School that provides top of the line education/ resources, a loving environment, and safety (among other things), this is THE school. The Goddard School of Overland Park will forever hold a special place in my heart. Please give them a call!

Goddard's staff and teachers are exceptional. The school is a clean and welcome environment for children. Each age group has its own large classroom which has been great to allow my son develop friendships with kids his age.

While we were excited to place our daughter at Goddard, that quickly changed when a new lead teacher began. While some teachers appeared to engage with the children in positive and helpful ways, the new lead teacher did not. In addition, staff turnover was very consistent. It was disheartening to see so many people come and go during our time there.Lastly, we attempted to address concerns with our daughter's teacher in person. She was dismissive of our concerns. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, we scheduled a meeting with her. During this meeting, she was dismissive, talked over both me and my husband, and began criticizing me as a parent. We both walked away from the interaction more discouraged than ever.My husband scheduled a meeting with the Director. To be very honest, the director was kind and very understanding. She even offered to do classroom observations. Her observations resulted in confirming the concerns that we had initially spoken with our daughter's teacher about. The director had numerous positive interactions with our daughter and appeared to be attempting to help the teacher understand our initial concerns. We finally decided to leave as a preventative measure for our daughter. We didn't want to leave her in a setting with a teacher who could so easily dismiss and attack parents. It left us wondering how she might engage with the children.

All of my children have attended the Goddard School of Overland Park, and we feel it is the best school for early childhood. The teachers all have degrees in education and follow detailed lesson plans. The classrooms are clean and organized, unlike many others schools I visited when first searching. I feel like the teachers genuinely care about my children and our family. The teachers and directors take an active interest in what is going on in our life, which makes my children feel special. I hate spending time away from my children, but I know they are loved and nurtured while at the Goddard School. When my oldest child entered kindergarten she was worlds ahead of the other children and I attribute it to the Goddard School. They made sure she was well prepared for moving onto elementary school. She left Goddard knowing how to read, write, speak spanish, and play well with her peers. Her kindergarten teacher was over the moon with having a child who was so well prepared and well behaved. I made sure she knew we attended the Goddard School for preschool and that is why she was ready for school.I would highly recommend Goddard to anyone who is seeking a quality program where their child will learn and grow by leaps and bounds, but will also be loved and nurtured by teachers who really care.

My four year old has been attending this school for about six months now, after I moved him from an in-home daycare because I wanted a more school-like situation for him. It is clean, and every single person I have ever come into contact with there is friendly every time I see them. It's clear the teachers love the students and the students love them back. I walk around the school sometimes because my son's class is outside when I get there to pick him up, and I can look in the open windows and see kids engaged in activities and their teachers fully engaged with them. When I drop him off in the morning and smell the great fresh food that is being prepared for breakfast it makes me hungry! They really seem to understand child development, and take incredible measures to nurture that in every child. When we started there my son was only recently potty trained and still had the occasional accident. I brought this up a little nervously worried they'd tell me he couldn't be in the four-year-olds class if he was still having accidents but they assured me it was fine. And he has had some accidents, and they deal with it so well. They just help him get cleaned up and say accidents happen and assure him he'll do better next time.To sum up: The Goddard School of Overland Park is such a loving and joyful place. They love my child and want him to grow and do well, and they welcome every part of him.

My son went here for 3 years. Some of the teachers were better qualified than others. One of the newer teachers there had worked with me at my previous job, yet she told them she had been working as an assistant director at another pre-school. I don't think they even checked her resume. The teacher turnover was a problem and it seemed that the teachers just weren't treated well by either management or staff. Ask them if they have any lesson plans or actual curricula to show you, They do not. The last straw happened when I saw my sons teacher grab a student and drag her back to her cot by her arms as her legs were just dragging across the ground. She could have been injured. The teacher (Whitney) seemed to have temper problems as I had seen her get angry before and yank scissors out of a child's hands. I did tell the owner about the yanking the girl around, but the teacher who had also lied about her experience working with kids still kept her job. So glad to have my son elsewhere where he actually learns and is challenged with research based methods.
