Horrible experience at this nail salon. This was my first time coming here and all I wanted was a polish change on my nails and toes. A lady painted my toes with no issues, however when it came to my nails they shaped them horribly and then essentially blamed me THE CUSTOMER, for having acrylic nails as if that’s an abnormal thing in a nail shop. They literally saw that I had acrylic nails when I arrived and should have informed me that they didn’t have anyone skilled to work with acrylic if that was in fact the case. Then the one male technician was absolutely horrible and said he could not and would not fix the mistake, and that he’s been doing nails for 15 years and that the bad shape was because my finger nail was curved? Like what? Then he got up and just rudely walked away. Very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful as a paying customer. Terrible service, especially by the man that’s been “doing nails for 15 years”. It’s time for him to get a new job if that’s the case.

Spent $50 on a pedicure, the guy trimmed my nail down so far and then preceded to file it til I bled, I had to tell him to stop. he didn't trim my cuticles and then my other big toe is horizontal from how he trimmed it. I could have done better myself at home. Atleast if they looked good maybe the pain would be worth it but they look terrible and my toe hurts. I will never go back.

This was my first time using Sweet D Nails. I left extremely unhappy. I went in asking for a full set of acrylic nails. They said they didn't have someone that could do that, but they could do dip with a tip. I've had that before so I was okay with it. She ended up doing a Gel tip set. She said it would be thinner and last longer. I told her I would give it a try. I asked for a short square shape. I kept asking for shorter and when she got to a length I still thought was to long she refused to cut them shorter. I don't understand because they are not on her fingers they are on mine. I left with a bunch of the gel built up under my nails and cant get it out. I asked her to remove it and she said oh its fine. I will not be returning to this salon and now have to go someone else today to get them fixed or removed. I'm now out $70 and more for todays service.

I just moved to the area. Where i normally go it's $30 for a full service pedicure including scrubbing and removing dead skin from my feet and heals. This place tried to upsell me to $55. You must be joking. I guess in Overland Park it's different. Compared to my Grandview location. It was worth the try and my heals weren't too bad but still could have been better. I'll keep this place as a back up.

I went in to get my dip powder soaked off and as she was starting the filing process she grabbed a nail nipper and started ripping off part of the dip. She had said that my dip was not well done (it had not been done there) and I agreed, but that was why she was ripping them off. I let her rip off 2 nails and then asked if she had planned on ripping the rest off, which she again said they were not well done. I replied that I could do that myself and left. I asked for my nails soaked off, not ripped off. My nails are now destroyed and in pain, I brush up against something and it hurts. I saw the bad reviews and figured those wouldn't apply to the removal of nails, I was extremely wrong. (She had ripped off my middle and ring finger nails, my pinky nail got smashed months ago)

I cheated on my regular salon for this place because it’s right next to my house. I got a gel manicure and the same exact night it chipped on one finger. The next day I had cracks and chips on 4 fingers. I went in and had them “fixed” and the woman that “fixed” them was obviously feeling rushed. I offered to come back the next day when it wasn’t so busy and she insisted she could fix it quickly and she did. With no care or attention to detail. She buffed the nail with a file and painted right over everything. No suprise the next day they all chipped right off again. I would refrain from wasting money on this place.

I contemplating leaving a review but I’m in so much pain after my pedicure today. First off, the staff was kind and friendly and there wasn’t a wait when my mom and I walked in. But the technician who did my pedicure was too rough when doing my cuticles and it HURT. I audibly gasped and said “ow” at one point and she did not stop until I said that it really hurt. She stopped then and the rest of the pedicure was okay. I was fine for a bit after any my toe was just tender but it’s 12 hours after and I’m in sooo much pain. The side of my nail that I complained about it’s red and a little swollen and I’m worried it’s going to get infected unfortunately. :( Other than that the rest of the pedicure was okay. The polish job is a bit sloppy and felt a little rushed. My mom said hers was okay too. Nice but nothing stellar.

This is a great salon. I appreciate the careful attention the techs pay to their work, I never feel like they are competing to see how fast they can complete a manicure. Excellent results.

I had gel nails and had them taken off with the electric file, so it made my nails paper thin for at least 6-9 months. Do not go to this business. They don't care about the health of your nails. The male tech put a new set on them and they chipped and with the paper thin nails. 2 nails tore down to the quick. I will be going back to have another tech fix that nail but I will never step foot in that piece of s--/ place again.
