Unacceptable to not fill a compound script because you can't get in touch with the patient to find out what FLAVOR a person would like. At 54 years old flavors are for children. Having the HRT medicine ready in any flavor is preferred over a flavor. This is unacceptable patient care
Rob it's not a matter of when the prescription was wanted; it was a matter of when the prescription was needed. Every patient needs a pharmacy in which they can rely. I called your pharmacy on April 30th to refill. On May 8th, I called again to check on the status and was told the script was not compounded because I needed to select a flavor. The fact that you were waiting for me to select a flavor tells me 2 things about your business; 1. You may not fully understand the severity of menopause and its symptoms. FACT: Some women have had to make a career change or not work at all due to its symptoms. One patient's symptoms not only impact the patient but also their family and friends.
2. You had the choice to select a flavor or no flavor at all and follow through with having the script ready. So, I understand that I as the customer was not worth the miniscule wholesale price you paid for the medicine. Therefore, you were not willing to take loss in the event I refused the script. This was a cash payment as insurance does not cover so there was no insurance to haggle. Yes I heard you... "if I did this for every customer, we wouldn't make any money." And my response is " If you did this for every customer in whom you failed to ask about a flavor when the script was requested, you'd have many satisfied customers who would return in exchange of your great service. This is called putting the customer and their needs 1st.
I hope moving forward you'd improve and make every effort to reach the patient and or take responsibility when you fail to ask for the flavor (since you feel it's so important) when a patient is filling or refilling a script. Wishing you only the best moving forward!

Good products still but in 10 years it seems the service behind the counter has gone down. It can be a struggle to get what you need sometimes, depending on who answers the phone.
