Gene was incredibly helpful when I came in to get the process started on a set of mother’s rings for Christmas this year. My mom (also in the jewelry business) was so impressed by the quality and beauty of the set. We knew we would be cutting it close with the delivery date but Gene got everything to me on time with beautiful wrapping and thoughtful extra goodies. Spratford Fine Jewelry will certainly be my go-to in the KC metro!

Fantastic!I don’t do many reviews, unless service was exceptionally good or bad. I had an incredible experience with Gene and Spratford Fine Jewelry.I went in for an engagement ring and only knew one thing for sure, my fiancée wanted a yellow gold band. Gene went through a number of options with me, and helped me through the process of picking the band, stone, sizing, ordering everything. Even though I’m a jewelry novice, he never talked down to me, and was very patient and made sure to answer all of my questions. He helped me find exactly what I needed, and he made sure we were still within my budget.I would absolutely recommend calling and scheduling a visit if you’re in the business of getting any kind of jewelry. I’ll definitely be back to talk to him about wedding bands when the time comes!

Robert at Spratford made our search for the right engagement ring and wedding bands a breeze. From our first meeting we felt confident that we were going to get a high quality ring at a fair price. He took ideas I had for how I envisioned my ring and then had one created that matched it perfectly! What we really appreciated, however, was how easy it was to communicate with him throughout the whole process. We had a lot of questions and he always responded quickly and was honest with us. I'm so glad we chose to go to a family owned business because the service felt much more personal and down to earth versus dealing with larger jewelry companies.

I bought an engagement ring from Robert Spratford, and it was a great experience. I walked into his store knowing a little about the 4 C’s and what have you, and he took the time to explain to me what really matters in a diamond. He helped me design an absolutely stunning American made ring (And didn’t try to up-sell me), I still catch my fiancé staring at it randomly. Couldn’t have done it without him. Unlike the big box stores, and chain stores, he actually cares, and will help you make the best version of what you want. I live out of state, shipping was fast and easy thanks to Robert. I wouldn’t go shopping for diamonds or fine jewelry anywhere else.

Gene and Robert have been doing taking good care of us. We bought our wedding rings from Spratsford in 2005. Ever since then we have maintained our relationship with Gene and his son Robert. We recently bought another large diamond ring and we are very happy with quality of service we received. They offer a level of service that a lot of jewelers can’t. We don’t go anywhere else anymore! If you want a long term relationship with a great jeweler then I recommend Spratsford.

Spratford Fine Jewelry is one of the finest family businesses operating in the Kansas City area. My wife and I purchased our wedding rings through Spratford six years ago, and since that time, we have routinely been invited back, with jeweler Robert Spratford making us feel comfortable to the point that we feel like it's our own private jewelry shop. We are always allowed to drop in to have our rings cleaned or resized. Robert deals with countless clients, yet always remembers our names, information about our families, and genuinely wants to know about our lives and how we're doing. Particularly at a time when increasing market share is going to mass-marketed jewelry stores (Jared, etc.), anyone in the KC area really owes it to themselves to spend their time and money at a locally owned business like Spratford.

I was referred here by a good family friend and my experience certainly did not disappoint! I personally worked with Rob. He was friendly, super informative, and really made me feel comfortable through the entire process. He was able to find me exactly what I was looking for at an excellent price. The overall experience was leaps and bounds better than what I received when I first starting shopping with some of the national brands.
