If you are going to offer fine jewelry appraisals for insurance purposes on your website, you may consider telling the people behind the counter what an appraisal is.I specifically asked for information and pricing for an appraisal, believing FROM your website that there would be a "nominal fee" and I would receive an actual appraisal of each individual piece upon paying it. Not that the "appraiser" would just sift through the pieces for 30 seconds, ignore the hallmarks and offer me $200 for the lot and then tell me he'd melt them down anyway. I did not ask to sell them, or pawn them. Remove insurance appraisals from your website if you don't offer them.

Kittie strodeI have been with Precious Metals 21 years. I have the best service anybody could ask forI have all my beautiful jewelry made there and they do a wonderful job. Everyone is so sweet there. There’s Philip Dave, Chris and Carlos everyone of them couldn’t be nicer. They keep everything nice and clean, they’re willing to do anything for you. They’re willing to put stuff and lay away for you. I never go to any other jewelry store when I get the best then none of the rest matters. A great store to be part ofI have never had one problem I recommend you try them , God bless

my wife and I had a fun and educational time at precious metals and gems. our gemologist PHILLIP C. RUTTAN JR. was the most knowledgeable and sharing and yes honest gem expert we have encountered..my wife had a selection of stones she wanted identified, and several really nice gold and diamond pieces she needed an updated appraisal on. i was so impressed with PHILLIP C. RUTTAN JR. I felt I needed to say so. my wife and I are very private people. this is the first time we felt completely satisfied with a gemologist. FIVE STARS.

The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate them taking the time to discuss my items and their value. I felt I received a fair price. I didn’t realize gold had went up so much.

Reading the previous negative reviews solidified what we felt with this place. Worst customer service EVER! From the moment we stepped foot in the door, it was absolutely awful. Terrible experience. Rude. Disrespectful. Demeaning. Dirty. Absolutely disturbing all the way around. We left and went to another place in the area (that also sells bullion) who said their customers have shared that they too had the same thing happen at PM&G. Thanks to the poor customer care at Precious Metals and Gems, it’s boosting business for the next guy. PM&G, it doesn’t matter if you’ve been around since 1979, public has a choice. The drive to next place was well worth it. They have our business from now onward.

Very rude people that lack basic customer relations skills. Called and asked if they bought antique pearls and was smugly told no with almost a laugh. I then asked if he knew of any place that did and got a very quick nope and was hung up on. Worked out better for me in the end as I found a place that does and was paid very well for them due to condition and the rarity of these pearls. Go somewhere else where these people aren't full of themselves!

What a wonderful experience! I was not completely sure what I should do with a bunch of inherited coins from my grandparents. I brought them in and Carlos spent over an hour digging through them telling me what each one was worth. And then after all that time told me which ones I should and should not sell to him if I wanted to maximize their value. He is an amazing human and I love doing business with people like that ! SO APPRECIATE YOU CARLOS !!
