The museum is beautiful! My class had a great time because they were out of school, on a trip. How much did they learn? Very little. Our guide talked way above 4th graders heads. My class parents and I were very disappointed in how she spoke to my students. She just assumed they were not going to behave. I think she could use a bit more training in people skills.

The place is overall ok but our tour guide was not kid friendly and pur kids had a horrible time with her. Really wish we could've had another guide.

Very small one room museum. My preschoolers liked that they could touch everything at this museums. We used our pogo passes to get in. However, You can get free family pass from the Bonner spring and Olathe library for admission too.

It was pretty neat. I liked the fossils but the museum itself was kinda small.I would love to see their animals properly housed, their bearded dragons need much larger enclosures (like a 6' x 2' x 2' at least) and their bajillion stick insects are so cramped in one tiny tank. It left a sour taste in my mouth to see poor husbandry from a museum!

The building is spectacular and the colors so interesting. The dinosaur exhibit was well done with interesting information on the paleontologists and the digs. I was very disappointed not to see anything on prairie ecology and prairie fires, thinking that its name indicated that emphasis. Just my mistake, but that would have been important to see in order to learn more about this important and disappearing habitat. Maybe such an exhibit can be obtained for the future.

Very nice place to take the kid’s beautiful nature and the inside is very kid friendly. Overall a good experience but alot of the exhibits were broken and not working. The worker lady at the desk was very snooty and unclear about things and my kids waited to do the vr and kids that were already in there came out and went back in we didn’t get a chance to try.

First time going over the weekend. Honestly, the coolest part about this place is the stained glass windows. Very underwhelming on the inside! The hands on area upstairs was, meh. The toys (ex: pink tea set) and surfaces were dirty. They could use a good deep cleaning, as it appears it's been awhile. The kids had a good time I suppose, but they kept asking where the next 'fun' section was to go check out. They were very disappointed to learn that they were already playing in the one & only 'fun' section. They too were expecting more out of this colorful looking building. We spent less than an hour here. I'm glad I noticed adult tickets were only $5 online vs $10 at the door. The experience was not worth any more than that, in its current state. We will not be returning anytime soon as there's really nothing special about it to bring us back.

It was a cool place to visit but it doesn't have a very user friendly layout. I felt like it there wasn't very much content to view and I think it is more focused on children. Visiting it as a couple didn't feel like it was worth the time. I hope that they continue to grow and improve with more exhibits.

Such a calm kids museum which I greatly appreciate. They have rules like no running but it is still a fun atmosphere! There is a free parking garage in front of the museum that you will need to turn to get to. It has a clear elevator so my kids liked taking it to the top on a not busy day to overlook the area. My kids were 2 and 9 months and my 2 year old loved it my baby just wanted to eat everything… it is a blue star museum so for active military it is free for the summer.

This is a great museum with a warm atmosphere. They have some cool exhibits on the first floor and activities on the second floor. Admission is free for the first floor exhibits including the dinosaurs. The upstairs area is mostly for kids and admission is 5.00 as of 7/3/23 when we visited. This is across the street from the movie theater. Be certain to visit if you are in the area watching a movie or shopping at the many shops, all in walking distance. The covered parking is close and free.

My kids really like coming here at least once a year. I do wish there was more for them to do. We've been a handful of times over the years, but the 360 theater has never been open and there's never been an open exhibit when we've gone, it's always been "under construction", or so they tell us. We've only had the opportunity to try the VR experience this last visit, it was never available in previous visits, but honestly it was pretty underwhelming since the headsets were broken. The discovery center is the what my kids like the most.I do recommend going if you've never gone before. We just don't see it as a place to visit more than once a year anymore.
