I've seen a lot of negative reviews on here but my experience was very quick and pleasant.
The staff was very polite and friendly (especially the front desk) and getting my blood drawn was swift and painless.
Usually I can feel the point of injection for a day or so but it was like I had never been stuck at all.
Recommend.

Do not go to this place. Unhelpful at best. They took my appointment and when I showed up they rejected me because my doctor was not in their building.

Checked in for a walk-in blood draw. I was quickly called back. They had a “fill-in” phlebotomist/nurse helping out and she was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable which made me less anxious. She immediately recognized my only good vein. I get faint easily and she took that seriously. This was the least traumatic blood draw I’ve ever had. Thank you ladies!

My 3 year old’s pediatrician is the floor below and we needed his blood drawn. We usually go to children’s mercy but decided to try lab corp so we didn’t have to make a trip to children’s mercy. BIG MISTAKE. We did not feel welcome at all. You can tell the people that work there do not like their jobs and it shows. My son was very still and didn’t even cry when he got his blood drawn. The lady who drew his blood was so rude. Do not take your kids here. Take them to children’s mercy where the technicians/nurses treat kids with respect and don’t talk down to moms/caregivers.

I’m not sure why this place has such low ratings. I didn’t have an appointment and walked into a full waiting room. I checked in at 10:00 and was still seen by 10:30. Seemed like there were only 2 technicians but they handled such a busy waiting room extremely well!

1. the lady drawing blood was going moving the needle inside me back and forth very fast and rough. I've had blood drawn before several times. this was the worst. I told her it hurt as well and she said "your vein is moving" i said i get that but you dont swipe it like window wipers on max mode.
2. good luck trying to get ahold of anyone on the phone all options keeps saying call your doctor.
3. the operator is rude and chews her gum to loud -ghetto

Wow. Avoid this Labcorp location. The Hispanic lady at the front desk is very hard to understand and very hurried/rude. Almost yelling multiple times at an elderly lady checking in to “HAVE A SEAT!” when the woman just had a quick question.
The woman who drew my blood was very nice but the only one doing so…and the door was open so every person in the waiting room could hear our short conversation and see everything if they wanted to. Zero privacy. Also no bathroom in the office itself so if you need to provide a urine sample, you have to walk out into the hallway to use the bathroom and then carry your cup of urine back through the waiting room of people!!!!!! The floor Labcorp is on is seemingly abandoned and run down itself. Terribly and poorly run. Disappointing for Overland Park/Lenexa.

Lots of reviews indicating staff are rude, that was not my experience at all. The receptionist was very sweet and so was the individual that did my blood draw.

My son’s pediatrician is the floor below this location, so we went up to this location to get a quick blood draw for his doctor. This was the first time I have been here to get a blood draw. You would think that they would be more welcoming, considering the fact that I had a two-year-old with me. This experience was traumatizing for my son because the staff was very unwelcoming, and unhelpful. A two-year-old is going to cry when they get their blood drawn or poked in anyway with a needle, and you would think that the staff Would be a little more helpful with trying to keep him comfortable. I tried to give the nurse a tip that my son would fight them, and he’s strong, and in the past we have had better luck drawing his blood while he is laying down. She gave me an attitude and said,” We don’t do that here, and this is not child friendly.” Her body language was very annoyed and acting disgusted. After she said that, I knew it was not gonna be a good experience. After we were done, he was screaming and crying. As I was attempting to comfort my son to get him to calm down one of the Other workers looked at me and said “ You can go.” I turned around and said “I can’t carry my stuff, and I’m trying to comfort my son first.” All i have to say is IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB, GET A NEW ONE AND STOP WORKING WITH PEOPLE IF YOU CANT BE KIND AND CONSIDERATE!

This experience was with my husband, and I am his caregiver. My husband had a Dr. visit Jan 11, 2024 upstairs with the Arthritis Dr. After his visit he needed blood work so we proceeded downstairs to Labcorp. After checking in and sitting for 15-20 min, one of the techs was leaving for the day and I asked her if I would be seen today and she totally ignored me. After about another 10 mins, another tech came to get a customer and she asked if I had an appointment and I told her no. After sitting there all that time she informs me that they were not taking walk ins, with such a nasty attitude.. After logging in it would have been nice if they had informed me sooner then that they weren’t talking walk ins. That really facility needs some structure. If they are not accepting walk ins at all, then it needs to be clearly posted.

Not sure about the negative reviews, but I had a great experience today. The office is in a clean, professional, modern building. The front staff were very friendly. Check in was easy- just scan the QR code and your drivers license. My doctor had already sent the requisition so the process was fast. The phlebotomist took my blood painlessly and she was very courteous. They were running about 15 minutes behind, but the waiting room was comfortable. No one likes getting blood drawn, but I totally recommend this facility.
