Absolutely zero responsiveness. Orders get lost and they have to start over again, just to neglect informing you if anything actually arrived. Prepare to wait ridiculous amounts of time and to never hear back. Their vendors will send quotes to BFS. BFS then puts those quotes into a pile and never gets to them.

I wanted to install 2 pocket doors with glass. Ordered in person with Terry, customer service rep on site. Several days later I received the quote for 3 doors, with no specific details about glass, frame etc. Emailed Terry for clarification - no reply.Few days later I went to the store in person. Terry was on the lunch break, so two other reps took my detailed message and told me I would get call shortly. No call followed.After that I called them back and asked to speak with the manager. Front desk person transferred my call which went to the manager's voicemail. Detailed message was left. I never received call back. I gave up.Bottomline: Same products are available elsewhere. Avoid this place if possible.

Not very responsive bad communication very long lead times with no updates or estimated delivery times. Coming from a general contractor not a good place to deal with for product for the smaller companies or to our clients.

I ordered 5 widows the middle of Nov 2022 under warranty due to the window seal leading and causing fogging and unable to see out the window. Dennis said the windows would be here the middle of Jan 23. I called the end of Jan to see if the windows arrived, had to leave a msg. Never got a call back. Called in Feb and was told windows would not be here til the first of April. I have called and left about 10 msgs and still have not received a call back. Called again today, 6-7-23 and asked for customer service. Transferred to customer service and had to leave a msg for Bill. I explained about ordering the windows and given the run around for the last 6 months. Now waiting for Bill to call back.

RUN! USE ANYONE ELSE!I recently had the displeasure of dealing with Builder's First Source in OP, and I must say it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever encountered. Throughout the entire sales process, it felt like we were the ones constantly pushing for communication, as if we were the employee and they were the customer. We would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with this company to think twice.To begin with, the product we ordered from Builder's First Source was delayed without any prior communication. It was frustrating to be left in the dark, waiting for an update that never came. When emails were finally responded to, their responses were dismissive and lacked any accountability for the delay or lull in communication. It's astonishing that they could be so negligent in keeping their customers informed.We were able to contact the manufacturer direct when the BFS account manager informed us that "we don't know who to call there." The manufacturer was appalled at that response and was able to give us an instant update. It took BFS and entire month to give us a halfEven when the product finally arrived 8 months after the promised date, our hopes for a positive resolution were shattered as it arrived in a damaged condition. It was evident that little care had been taken to ensure the item's safety during transportation. The lack of attention to detail and disregard for the customer's satisfaction is truly disappointing. The delivery team themselves were great, but there is a disconnect within their internal sales team and operations.What adds insult to injury is the utter lack of responsibility taken by Builder's First Source for these issues. Their customer service representatives seemed disinterested and unapologetic when confronted with the damaged product. It felt as though they were more interested in closing the conversation quickly rather than addressing the problem and finding a satisfactory solution.When it comes to customer service, Builder's First Source in OP has proven themselves to be unreliable and unprofessional. Their failure to communicate proactively, combined with the delivery of a damaged product and a lack of accountability, showcases a lack of respect for their customers. I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with this entire experience.Given the alternatives available in the market, I strongly recommend seeking out other suppliers for your construction needs. Builder's First Source in OP has proven themselves to be unworthy of your time, money, and trust.

Purchased many things from them when they were KC Building Supply. We have called at least ten times trying to buy another kitchen worth of cabinets and they refuse to respond. Never answer phone, went in twice and sent away with a direct number and no reply to repeated messages. How can you actively refuse business and stay in business?

We built our house and this company was sourced for windows. We claimed a warranty while I was 6 months pregnant and now my baby is 9 months and still have not heard any word. We continue to contact them several times every few months and still get no response from Terry Klein.3 weeks later.....Still no update even after sending a follow up email to the social media account.

Used them for windows and sliders on new build. They installed a $3000 slider 7 months ago. It's never worked properly, it doesn't close all the way, can't get service on it, and the rep won't follow up. We always have to reach out and get no where with him. AC is just running out the doors...
