The staff is usually ok. Not really friendly but you get your prescriptions. Today. Kathleen was the woman that “helped” me. I immediately recognized the cost was high and asked her to check Good Rx. She was completely annoyed. Slammed down the meds and said it would take her “a while” to look it up. It took about 10seconds. I was right and saved $12. Pharmacist had to ring it for some reason. He is also very cold and unfriendly. I take it because the convenience is there. This staff would really benefit from a customer service class. There is no reason to be so unfriendly and in Kathleen’s case just mean.

The staff here are friendly but this pharmacy is a headache. While there is some convenience in being able to pick up your medication and groceries at the same time, that is offset by their inability to fill prescriptions as they come in. You get a prescription ordered at 10 AM and it goes in a stack to be filled that evening. And so you have to call every time to have them fill it ASAP. Had an issue today where they were out of my kid’s antibiotic, they found it at a Hy-Vee across town, and when I got there they said the pharmacist from my Hy-Vee said I “probably wasn’t coming over until the next day” and as a result insurance wouldn’t cover it until that next day. Part of that is the insane healthcare system we have to participate in but a lot of it is also just like, basic customer service stuff.

Just got back from HyVee at 95th & Antioch in Overland Park. Order #1 Chinese entree with rice. I chose cashew chicken with vegatables and steamed rice and egg roll for $8.99. It consisted of tons of steamed rice, a dab or cashew chicken (maybe a cup at most, and an egg roll. There were no cashews, very little chicken, lots of onions and celery. The main course of the cashew chicken was put in the small part of the 3 part plate and the steamed rice was in the double large portion of the plate. I ended up throwing most of the rice away because it was way too much compared to the entree. I think it should have been the other way around. The rice in a small section and the entree in the large portion. I will not be back.

Hy-Vee is a quick stop before I head to work in the mornings. The deli hours say 6:30am however the service I've received is not the "helpful smile on every aisle" attitude they advertise. Not only is staff sparse around 6:45am, but often they will chat with other coworkers and not acknowledge you. Then when you get help, it's rude and it's as if you're a burden to them. The man who works the register however is friendly!

Everytime I try to use my Medicaid(Aetna) when the head pharmacist guy is there with the monotone voice for the past 4 years he claims it doesn’t work and won’t go through. I picked up two prescriptions in the past month with no issues when he’s not there and soon as he’s working bam my insurance doesn’t work every single time. He clearly does not want to help customers on Medicaid. I’m pregnant needing my nausea medication literally walking out hyvee throwing up because he won’t honor my insurance! Why does he still work here?? I’ve never had any issue with anyone else there!!

My Doctor called in a prescription, and I showed up 5 hours later to pick up my prescription. Bear in mind, it's only heart medicine, no big deal...Not only were they pulling the gates back on the pharmacy, about 10 minutes prior to closing, they let me know my prescription "should be here tomorrow". Surprised, I inquired, should be? They said yes. I asked what time, they responded with maybe by 11. We should be able to contact you when it arrives. Somehow, I'm not hopeful.Edit: I did get a call from the pharmacy expressing their concern for my experience. I truly appreciate that, and it is obvious they want to get better. Of course that doesn't help the lack of communication, which is my biggest issue.Thank you for the call, and continue to improve.

One of the best-stocked and staffed Hy-Vee stores in the area. The pharmacy needs a lot of work, but I know the folks there are trying their best with what they're given.

One thing I'm clear about is that the staff who operate this particular pharmacy = 5 stars +. I'm convinced when it's my turn, their attention will be completely focused on and will proactively take responsibility for my needs.Plus STRETCH MY DOLLARS...Lia! Tiffany! Are you reading this? I don't know what kind of magic you worked recently behind the register, but as I work on my monthly budget, I'm still astounded how much my meds were lowered. Humble thanks for making a positive difference in my life. Customer service at its best! K.Sorensen

This is what happened today when I wanted to transfer my prescriptions to HyVee. I recently was discharged from the hospital with quite an extensive medical problem that is requiring several medications that I need to take. I use CVS and spoke with the pharmacist there and he was going to wait for the pharmacy to call him to transfer my scripts over. I call the pharmacy and ask them to call and transfer my scripts. The woman on the phone said that it was going to take 2-3daus for them to do that for me. Really? So. I call cvs back and the nice pharmacist there said that it was very simple to do and he said that he would call Hy-Vee for me to do that. What is the real truth here? Does HyVee pharmacy not want my business? I feel so sad that my business wasn’t even worth the effort. I am having cvs fill it for me and I’m not sure how I feel about HY-bee as a whole now.

The Market Grille is a homeless hangout. Management doesn't do anything about these people bathing in the public restrooms. I'm sorry, but I thought Hy-Vee was a family friendly place. I wouldn't be comfortable here with my wife and children. So, I got obligatory "please contact the management team, we want to hear from you". The store management team is the problem! They allow this to happen. I will not contact the "store management team"! I would be more than happy to discuss this at the corporate level.

I can't say enough great things about Dereck, the pharmacist at Hy-Vee pharmacy. My toddler was very, very sick and was prescribed an oral steroid to help with his terrible cough. I got to the pharmacy right when they were closing, and not only did Dereck stay late to help me, he also worked with my doctor to figure out some issues with the prescription. He then spent a lot of time talking through the medication with me, along with ways to get my toddler to take it. He even ordered a backup medication in case it didn't work out. And then, the next day, he called to check on my son.I'm blown away by the level of customer service and am so grateful for his kindness during a scary time for me and my family.
