Dr. Probst was a little off-putting, and IMO tried to semi-guilt trip me into more expensive testing that I could get performed at my vet within 12 hours when they were opened.That said, I am sure being a night ER vet is tough, and he did let me dictate the appropriate care for my dog in order to stabilize him until his vet opened (fluids and other meds). Besides the $350 walk-in charge (ERs cannot exist for free unfortunately), the prices were actually not that much higher than my vet for the tx we did (although the suggested imaging is 1/4 the price at my vet, so we waited).All in all, $540 on a Sunday night/Mon. AM and probably helped my dog hang on until we could follow-up at his vet later that day. So, I can't complain. Expensive, yes. But got us through. Thank you Dr. Probst and Hawthorne Animal hospital!

This place is a Godsend! Not only did they get my baby in quickly they had him feelin betterand me reassured in no time! The prices were very reasonable as well! Thank you so much for taking care of my boy Ludo!!!

I am a local dog groomer and the owner of Grooming by Rebekah LLC. My business shares many mutual clients with Hawthorne AH. Over the years I've had many pleasant interactions with this professional facility, and even the basics of checking vaccine information on shared clients is always friendly and thorough. My clients also speak very highly of the caring nature of the staff.

We have used this hospital for about 40 years. We are now on our fourth puppy with them. They treat our pets like they were their own. The people have become family to us. The office is always clean and they have so many things on hand that we need. EVERYONE is so friendly and knowlegeable. If they don't know something, they will find out for us. They have been with us for our happiest moments (new puppy) and the ones when I ugly cried (saying goodbye to our dogs.) Dr. Brown and Dr. LeSage are amazing as is all the staff. Martha is my phone-a-friend with all of my questions. Diana has such great advice. We are using their daycare for socialization and it is fantastic. I wish I could give 10 stars!!!

Just an fyi there is no cell service here. If you need to communicate with a spouse or otherwise with your co-owner you won't be able to within the building. Hoping it is structural and they are not using a cell blocker since those are illegal for obvious reasons. I have contacted my carrier but they said there is no reason that building should not have service.

This place is amazing. We feel very confident about bringing our basset hound, Jack here, wether it's to get his nails trimmed, shots or to stay in there kennel during a short trip. It's a small clinic and you typically see the same faces. It has a small town feel to it. Probably because they show so much care and interest in both the animals and their families.

Worked us in on a very hard day. These people truly, truly care for people and their pets. Thankful for their guidance and gentleness as I said a very hard goodbye to my best friend of 18 years today. Thank you June, Dr. LeSage and Dr. Brown.

Very very kind workers I brought a animal That I rescued in to be checked for a chip and they made sure they did everything in their power to get what the puppy needed. Need more people like those kind workers in this world.

Earlier, I had given Hawthorne a bad review. Because my wife did not communicate that they were not the group exploiting her. It was the emergency room they recommended. If the value of care matter to you. This isn't the place. I raised the review from 1 star to 3. Which for me is neutral neither good nor bad. My wife really likes them if that has value for you.
