I have been going to Emily for over a decade and she is exceptional at highlighting my dark, thick, somewhat unruly hair. When I first came to her, I had tried many “high-end” salons all over the city and ended up with fried, straw-like hair that I never thought would grow beyond my shoulders. I was also spending so much time and money on extensions and products to achieve a long-haired look. But since Emily started coloring my hair, it grows inches between visits and is long and healthy. The blonde color and highlight placement looks natural and professional and I get compliments from strangers all the time. She is also very careful when cutting length as to not go too short and really listens to what you say and doesn’t go overboard. In the 40+ appointments I’ve had over the years, she has never once been late, canceled or had an off day. Also, the new salon space is modern and beautiful and I feel so happy and comfortable there. I hope Emily never retires because I plan to keep coming to her as long as she will have me!

Emily Cooper is the best colorist I have found since moving from New York City. Finally, someone who knows what she is doing. My highlights are three weeks old and still look like I just got them done. Also, the cut she gave me is so easy to work with. I will definitely be back for my next service!
