Took them almost a year to get to my unit. Then once called to pick up still broke. Took back to fix a second time they called me in a couple of days saying they fixed it. Surprise when I got home still had distortion on right channel. Very easy to hear it unless you're deaf. So back for another round of fixing. Then once I picked up for a third time they wanted to charge me another $160 after already paid $330. Took me 6trips to Overland Park 60miles away each trip plus $560 to fix a $300 unit. Stay clear of this place unless you want shotty service and to be ripped off.....less than one star.

Look elsewhere. Not sure if new ownership has changed quality of repairs but I’ve taken in about three different high end pieces of equipment and they did the most minimal job of servicing. One item, a Marantz tape recorder, came back and didn’t even play at the right speed. Basic check not even done correctly. On top of that the owner spent a bunch of time trying to convince me it was ME who had the issue. I insisted he check again at the speed adjustment and what do you know I was right. Don't pat me on the head you gaslighting sob! Another was a 70s Pioneer amplifier that still isn’t working correctly, and as I’ve dug into the problems I’ve found none of the most basic service for an amp this age was even recommended. Like I said, maybe if there is new ownership but my experience was an all around waste of time and money.

Took my Marantz SR7010 into Electronics Center over a year ago to have it looked at. I was told they were very busy and it would probably be 6 months before they could look at it. I told them that was ok because I really didn't think I had a choice if I wanted it repaired. Paid the 125.00 check out fee that would go towards the repair. 9 months in I called to see how things were going and was told at that time it would probably be about 12 months before it got in to be looked at . At 12 months I checked in again and was told I was getting closer to being looked at maybe a couple of more months. At 14 months I get a phone call that they looked at my unit and the newer Marantz Receivers are difficult to get access to the circuit board to make any repairs. FOUTRTEEN MONTHS AND NOW YOU TELL ME ITS TO HARD FOR YOU TO FIX! Come and get your unit we can't help you. Oh by the way we are still charging you the 125.00 check out fee. Wow I don't even know how to respond no empathy just that's the way it is. A friend told me that there is a authorized Marantz repair center in Overland Park I left the Electronics Center and went straight over there to see if they could help me. Long story short 2 days later I am watching Dolby Atmos movies again. I will never use Electronics Center again!

Worst customer service ever. Stood at the counter for 10 minutes in an empty shop with two employees in the back. No greeting. No “we’ll be with you shortly.” We left.

I was told 6 months to get my record console in. This didn’t concern me because I viewed it as a good sign that they were so busy. That 6 months turned to 9. Still ok. When I finally got my console to them, they said the original equipment was not repairable. At this point I’m still completely fine and excited. Then they gut the console, (very shoddily). And install used equpminet, (very shoddily). Nothing has worked since the equipment was brought home. They gave me another ridiculous amount of time before they could look at it again. Mind you this is a large cabinet from the 60s. I spent $700 for them to destroy a priceless console, fill it with used junk that didn’t work, and the worst part is I can’t recover the original components now with hopes that some one competent could fix it. I ignored the bad reviews and suffered the consequences.

I had the most amazing experience today. I brought my vintage Yamaha turntable to Stan and the Electronic Center. I learned more in 30 minutes and was treated with such respect I thought I had returned to the 50's. Thank you and I recommend if you have vintage needs call these guys. I drove 200 miles and it was worth it!

We waited over a year for anyone to give us an update regarding our stereo component. Received a call today to find out they can't fix it and still charged us $100. Do not recommend

I have used The Electronics Center in the past and had pretty good luck with them . I called them in October 2021 to see if they would fix my amplifiers, I had 2 identical amps needing repairs. They told me I would be put on a waiting list for at least 6 months and I would need to pay $150 per amp for them to be repaired. 8 months later I called and they said they were still not to my number yet but they would take it in and look at it when they got a chance. 2 weeks later they called and said it was going to cost $400 dollars for 1 amp to be fixed and the other they couldn’t fix. They said I could come pick them up if I didn’t want to have them fix them. But, they still charged me the $300 I initially paid. I think it is ridiculous to pay that for looking at an amp and not doing any type of repair. I will NEVER use them again for any type of repairs for any electronic equipment!

Very rude over the phone when we called to inquire as to some electronics we had and instead of just simply telling us they didn’t need stuff like ours the man we spoke with said, “We have nicer stuff in our store than junk like yours.” Very unnecessary and unprofessional.

Not the best customer surface experience. They are very busy and turned me away, which is fine. But did so in a profoundly unprofessional manner, very rude. Have done good work for me in the past, but I will not patronize or refer them again on principal. I just can't get past rudeness there is simply no place for it. :(
