Worst pharmacy experience

The pharmacist at this location is a total jerk. I called in and told them the situation with my prescription and that it was hand written and was told that was fine. I then verified the amount I needed filled and was told it was okay. When I got there and handed in the prescription, without checking, I was told they don't have my meds. Then when I told them I just called, the guy got an attitude with me and said he wouldn't fill my prescription because it was handwritten. I told him I just called and told them the situation and they said it was okay. I asked him to call the doctor and verify the prescription and he said "it's my digression and I'm not going to fill it." Been going there for over 10 years and won't be going to another cvs again. This situation explains their 2.4 stars.

The lady Kathy in Pharmacy is incredibly rude and disgusting. If she doesn’t want to help people with simple questions then she should not be in a setting that involves customer services. All I asked was for her to release a request of my prescription to another location and she acted like I was asking her to build a rocket ship. Extremely short on the phone. Even told me “good day” at the end without even letting me speak.

Received a cancelation email for first vaccine visit. Set up new appointment, arrived on my day and time. Pharmacist told me all appointments have been canceled. No email sent about this. Shame on you CVS.

First off I have traded at this pharmacy for close to 25 years. In the last couple of months this pharmacy at 95th and Mission Overland Park Kansas has not gone downhill but it’s hit rock bottom. ‘The crew,’, and yes, I would call it ‘The crew’ in the pharmacy is extremely unprofessional. The pharmacist doesn’t wear a lab coat , which is fine, but he dresses like he just got done washing his car. The other members of ‘the crew’ including the pharmacist, who wants was put out find me asking a question, lack any type of communication ability and social understanding. Today, September 21, 2023 when I went to pick up a prescription because I am ill, I was told the pharmacy is closed because of a family emergency. I understand a family emergency but why can’t someone from ‘the crew’ be there to sell the prescriptions? They don’t have to fill them. I would prefer that they wouldn’t fill them, but why can they not be there to sell the prescriptions that were called in this morning? Because of our insurance I have to use CVS.

Communication is non-existent at this store. It’s Friday night at 630 and the pharmacy is closed. I called earlier and told them I needed a prescription that I had ordered days ago. Was told they would try to have it. There were 30 ahead of me. Didn’t tell me they were closing early. Definitely a problem at this location.

After having three issues trying to get two different controlled substances filled over the past three years at this CVS at 9521 Mission Rd, Overland Park, KS my family of four has to move on. It’s just not working out with the pharmacists here and we’ve been left in pretty bad situations because of it. Just go to either the Walgreens just West on Mission Rd or the Price Chopper there on the same intersection 95th & Mission Rd. We lose a little convenience this way but at-least we won’t be left hung out to dry with no other options.

This Pharmacy literally just tried to charge me $200 for a prescription that should have been $0 due my family having already hit our out of pocket max for the year. They proceed to then run it through the insurance and tell me our coverage has been cancelled. Wife works for the largest ad agency in the US. After 30 minutes of going back and forth with the insurance company after I had to call them. They end with agreeing to cover it but still charge me $40 in copays.. I'm on a QHDHP (there are NO copays).Who knows how much overcharging this pharmacy has done to ordinary people...

Have you ever see the movie satire "Brazil" by Terry Gilliam of Monty Python fame about a dystopian society run and ruined by incompetence and arrogance? It's a common aphorism that reality creates factual circumstances that fiction can not imagine. Case in point, this CVS.If there's a problem with your prescription, they are NOT going to call, text, email or apprise you of the problem in ANY manner.Matt, and the other pharmacists spent hours over the two weeks blowing me off when five minutes of effort on their part would have resolved the insurance quandary and get CVS paid the more than thousand dollars your prescriptions cost.Matt refused to call the insurance company so that he could talk to them directly and relieve me of the role of intermediary. When I made the effort to obtain the necessary information for Matt to submit my claim, he told me that he'd submitted the info and that it was somehow inadequate. Oddly enough when another pharmacist reentered the same information at MY insistence two days later, it went through immediately on submission. After that Army Operation, I got the necessary info for my insurance that covered my copays and gave the information directly to Matt on 6/18. I didn't bother to have CVS seek the information. I provided this information to Matt on 6/19, more than two weeks after I first contacted CVS to try to get my scripts filled.I foolishly believed that CVS might expedite a resolution to this matter, considering that its hubris, laziness and incompetence were responsible almost entirely for the two week delay in filling the prescription.ON the morning of 6/20, the CVS app (also worthless) showed I still had copays. I called CVS at 12:30 and talked to Matt who once again gave me the excuse that the information I'd given him regarding the copay insurance didn't pan out. When I told him I didn't believe him, especially since the insurance company had no record of any submission by CVS, he told me to get another pharmacy. At 12:36 I called Walgreen's located about 250 yards NW of CVS. I gave the pharmacist there exactly the information that had been available to CVS for more than two weeks. After ten minutes on the phone, the Walgreen's pharmacist assured me that I could pick up my prescriptions at 2 o'clock when the pharmacy reopened after lunch break.I was there at 2:15. I picked up my prescriptions (no copay) and was out the door in five minutes. In other words, Walgreen's accomplished in an hour and 45 minutes what CVS could not in eighteen days. That's .41% of the time CVS squandered.CVS reminds me of the old DDR, "You pretend to pay me and I pretend to work."
