“American Legion Post 370 is located off 75th Street and Foster St. in Overland Park, KS. It is an old Post, well maintained and at the time of day I visited there were at least 40 Veterans. Membership means military service and spouses are referred to as Auxiliary Members. NEW FUTURE MEMBERS WELCOME. When you belong to ONE American Legion Post, you are a Member to all American Legion Posts. Activities, Breakfasts, Meetings, CALL THE POST. NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. Disabled Access. “I saw a series of paintings from this art gallery at Leawood Library, then stopped by for coffee chat after my AQUA ZUMBA class at Matt Ross Rec center. Chief Exective Angi is friendly and welcoming. I don't know about art much, but this place makes me feel good to be there. “This is a great place to take stuff to recycle from the house! They have a large variety of stuff to buy at deeply discounted prices. The exceptions were a couch that looked brand new that was $125 and a men's dresser for $650 and a women's dresser for $750. Otherwise, there were couches for $50, chairs for $40. They also had cabinets, washers and dryers, tables, bookcases, hutches, paint, garden stuff, tile, carpet remnants, plates, bowls, lights, doors, toilets, tools and many more things!!! Of course, you never know what they will have so you gotta stop in.”

“We got a great experience doing homeschool with ms cherra acosta. Shes been awesome. She included my daughter even Shes not included on the spot. My twins and her learned a lot things and really engaging on the activities. Now my daughter still remembered her she wants to learn because of her she wants ms cherra to see her progress all the time even the homeschool is done. shes like a family to us. She gave me the support i needed. She even did a surprise on my birthday. This school is the best and great support for families.”

“I highly recommend this Goodwill. The merchandise is so neatly organized and well-stocked, so it's easy to find treasures throughout the store. Their weekly sales are fantastic! I have found super affordable, high quality clothes for me and my family, great pieces for my home, and even some fun gadgets for my nephew. The best part is their wonderful cashiers! Yes, the line can be a bit long, but it's because they actually take an interest in their customers and are careful when bagging their purchases. The other reason is the parking lot, along with the adjacent one, is often full and the company only has 1-2 cashiers on shift at a time. Despite being so busy, the cashiers are always friendly. Darrell, Cathleen, Jackson, Carolyn, Ken, and Kim are awesome! Word of caution: sometimes there are high prices on brand new clothing or more upscale brands, but they are soiled or damaged (ex. armpit stains) or houseware items, such as a mirror with several chips. Most of the managers I have spoken to exhibit excellent customer service, except for one when I inquired about a framed mirror marked $39.99 that was the exact same, except way more damaged than one marked $14.99 full price that had already sold within that week; I just wanted to see if it was possible to honor the lower price considering the same style and damage discrepancy (I had photos of both mirrors/damage/prices/time stamps). She said it could be changed if it's taken off the floor and priced again. That sounded great, but as I tried to get clarification of if I should wait or come back within a certain time frame...out of nowhere, the manager, interrupted me, raised her voice, and said telling me the new price, then changing the price, would get her fired. In no way did I want her to break the rules; I was going off of what she just told me. Finally, she said I could come back the next day and check on it. I came back and the price never changed. Considering she initially told me both mirrors sold, yet didn't offer to take a look at, nor locate the more damaged one during the conversation, I am not surprised. In all honesty, after that severely uncomfortable experience, I don't even want the mirror anymore because that's all that will come to mind when I look at it.”

“I love their ad campaign, I love how the donors are kept out of the spotlight, and I love that it seems ALL the extreme political groups are unhappy with the message. I agree that those who believe in Christ Jesus and Christianity is for sale, just look at how the media and politicians groom us to follow them, the whole time telling us, "God wills it." (Quoting my favorite line from the movie 'Kingdom of Heaven') I'm happy to see a group that is trying to show that the message Jesus gave to us has NOTHING to do with where we are politically. I'm so sick of hearing that if I'm not right-wing enough I'm not a Christian or an American. the same goes if I say I am a Christian, then I'm too far to the left and I can't have any social concerns.Jesus IS the message and to talk badly or use loud hate type speech to describe another person is NOT what Jesus taught and it is NOT the way a Christian is.Yep, Jesus does get us. He was here, grew up in the slums, was poor, part of a broken home, hung out with all the wrong crowds, stayed out of politics, and did not use hate speech or chastise anyone relentlessly.
