Quick pick up and drop off, staff got us in and out without having to wait. The car had just over 3100 miles on it, so we weren't concerned about breaking down and could enjoy visiting family. Had a great trip.

They never answer the phone. I was switched out of a 23 Malibu to a 22 malibu with nothing but trouble and I had to be inconvenienced by driving an hour to KCI to exchange it. I told the agent at Overland Park that I did an oil change since I am a responsible renter and he had the nerve to say, if you drive too many miles, you can be banned . I was treated so poor and not valued as a president's club member. To be a president's club member. You have to complete alot of rentals!!! Not even a Thank You!

Please check my review to Hertz... They are in the "ring"...After going with 2 "canceled" reservations, with Hertz tried them, I mentioned had a reservation for $30/1 day, they offered me a vehicle for 39.99... I took it, half way to them, they called me back to say same thing " car is gone", if I wanted get to the office to find IF a cancellation or another car might arrive... With the warning they only would have cars for about $95/dayI declined and called the nearest where I was at the time

I have been an AVIS customer for 15 years and never had an issue but renting from this location is always a problem. Last week's car was smelly, half tank and not clean with "Check Engine" light on.

Not coming back again! Place smells like someone just smoked. People here were very casual about business. Did not have any cars in the category that I reserved in and they don’t care.

Really deserves zero stars. The man who closed jan 25th apparently refuses to keep the business open until 6 even when notified I'd be right back because I'm not comfortable putting keys in a lockbox without confirmation the keys were received. This was three days after I was handed a car with two balding front tires and a leaking rear tire,and a car vibrating at highway speeds. Notonly is the customer service terrible but their fleet is unsafe

I was given a car that was dirty and potentially dangerous: 1) They tried to put me in a compact car (that was not clean and had empty food containers sitting on the floor of the back seat) when I had reserved a full-size car 2) Then, the full-size car that they gave me was filthy (inside and out) - with the back seat absolutely covered in dog hair. They did a cursory "clean" but we still had to buy a lint roller and a container of Clorox wipes. 3) Once we got on the road, there was a roaring sound that appeared to from the right rear wheel (bad wheel baring? Separated tire tread?). We were already too far away to return to the Avis location where I rented the car, so I followed the instructions on the website and went to the nearest Avis location to exchange the car. I was told that they didn't have any cars available, and that the only location that had any cars was the airport (nearly 1 hour away, in the opposite direction we we heading). There was no offer to make any calls on our behalf; no offer to see if they could have a car delivered to their location. I was told that the only way I could exchange the car was to call the Avis "Roadside Assistance" number and file a claim. I tried calling the number and sat on hold. I didn't have time to wait on hold (or to wait for roadside assistance to come along and try to fix the car so, when I said it was too far for us to go to the airport (we had a family event to get to) the agent said: "well, I guess your screwed." 4) I drove the car (in rainy/icy conditions) 1.5 hours to our destination, with a potentially damaged wheel and (I discovered later) nearly bald front tires.

Very bad experience this time. Car was filthy, low on gas and overcharged by 40% vs agreed rate.

I used to rent a car throw Avis usually they give me a nice clean cars , unfortunately this the worst experience I ever had with a rental car. They gived me a smoked car I had to accept it as I was in rush to go the Airport. After a while they charged me $ 450 for a smoke smell in the car. I was looking for zero star to rate them ???

I had a two day rental for a long drive and back. Service was great, very friendly people. The car was clean and was great on fuel mileage (malibu). I will rent again from this location. Thanks

I have never left a review on anything before until my experience with Avis. It's important for people to know what to expect when renting from this location. I was returning a car at 5:30pm thinking I had 30 minutes to spare until I had to return my rental before closing time. But what ended up happening was the store owner left and closed the store 30 minutes before he was supposed to, leaving myself and other customers outside the store waiting for him to show up. We all ended up calling customer service. My experience with customer service was like none other - I had been transferred to two agents to handle my situation and help me, but they ended up hanging up. I called again and ended up being transferred to three agents who also hung up on me. I will be avoiding renting from Avis, and also spreading knowledge of this experience to everyone I know so they can avoid dealing with this.

This is the second time we have rented a vehicle from this AVIS location and will continue to do so because of the easy transaction of pick and drop off. Moose, the owner of this location is most courteous and friendly. Very easy to talk to. Highly recommend this location in Overland Park, Kansas.
