229 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City“Stopped in for some special watercolor paper today for a project. I didn't catch the employee's name. He was friendly, showed me the items I was looking for, and got it wrapped up extra so that it wouldn't get messed up on the way home.”
“Vernesa and Nathan let us stay till 730 and we didn’t know they were closed but they care about the customer and what they’re getting for the children’s learning experience. This is an amazing store with committed staff.”

621 W 48th St, Kansas City“I needed a birthday card for an aunt who is a nonagenarian and still going strong. I stopped by this little shop on the Plaza since I was in the area. I found four good cards and took them home. My wife and I could decide on which of our top two choices to send. So she sent one and I sent the other. It's a small store but crammed full of high quality cards, paper, etc. The staff was really helpful and engaging. I found a parking spot on Ward Parkway by The Granfalloon. It's justarrived the corner.”
“A group of us arrived at 6 p.m. to get crafty and enjoy some delicious milkshakes. The lady that helped us was wonderful, but I felt bad that she was the only person working. We kept her busy with questions and making milkshakes. My only complaint was that the project I selected did not include firing. I didn't realize that until I had begun painting with the wrong paints. We'll definitely be back - just ask better questions. :)”
“I had a pastel portrait matted and framed. They helped me pick out the perfect frame for it and completed the process while I waited. Very friendly and helpful employees. Thank you!”
“I’ve ALWAYS said no trip to Crown Center is complete without a stop in the Crayola Store! So many great products to choose from and this place also brings back a lot great memories of my childhood and the kids have a lot of fun in here!”
“Basia, at the checkout counter, was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond the call of duty, to assist me with my purchase, in every way. Shw was so happy, helpful, and pleasant-made my day! Thank you so much, Basia! Your store is lucky to have you.”
“Look at the entitlement in the reviews. Want to know why the store is short staffed? No one wants to deal with the inconsiderate pompous individuals that live in Johnson county. I went there the other day, a typically south joco couple that had no idea how many yards needed to create curtains out of ugly emerald velvet. The poor lady at the cutting counter had to keep stopping assisting customers that actually had some forethought to come prepared with what they needed. This went on for a half hour.
The store is messy because they are short staffed. The ones that are still working are worn out from all the rude entitled behavior so you all can feel “creative” by making yet another fresh set of tacky tie blankets to cover your calloused feet.
Do everyone a favor. Don’t go to the store if you can’t have some decency, patience or a plan.
Please note, it’s not their responsibility to ensure you know how to sew. Learn prior.”
