Worst tax experience I've had so far and HR Block has been doing mine every year since I had to start doing my taxes. Very very unpleasant experience.

We've done our taxes here for years, but decided that's over. Our preparer advised us to get the "Piece of mind" option, so we did. After filing, the IRS said that H&R block messed up on some numbers entered and we owed nearly $1600 more than originally thought. We filed a claim with the piece of mind dept and it was declined even though they messed up! So, the "piece of mind" appears to be a scam! They phoned my wife explaining everything and said they would email me to let me know also. I never received an email. We'll be filing somewhere else.

Our tax preparer Jeff Spencer was no longer there. We were not notified of the change. Our prepare was only a preparer and it no longer felt like the personal experience Jeff provided. We needed help to figure out how much taxes to have taken out of our checks for each pay period and all the person could do was guess. We had to pay $2,000 in additional taxes to the state and federal. We needed help due to the fact the State of Kansas made a $6,000 mistake on the amount of unemployed that we received and all she wanted to do was get our taxes done. Jeff would have tried to help us find the resources needed instead of just trying to get through the process and charging us almost $300 for a basic service. We will probably do ours online next year for much cheaper.
