I love that they are constantly looking for ways to improve our experience at OTF. This may be by switching up class types or looking for new ways to engage with members, like guided classes for learning.”
“I’ve been a member of a lot of gyms big and small. Kansas built fitness is by far my favorite gym I’ve been a member of! It feels more like a family atmosphere in this gym and from the owners to the staff they go out of there way to say hi every time I’m in there.. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for one.”
“Dropped in for a week while on my work trip, everyone there was more than welcoming and felt like it was my home gym. I am looking forward to the next time I travel to the area to drop in again!”

Daily classes with multiple trainers make it easy to fit into any schedule. There are also many options for personal training. 6 week challenges throughout the year keep everyone motivated and slightly competitive. The support from everyone in the gym is top-notch!”
“Coach Kevin Reeves is phenomenal! Our 13 year old son takes hitting lessons from him and has now for a little over a year. Our son really enjoys his time with Coach Reeves in the tunnel. He has learned a lot about hitting, the physical side of hitting, and the mental side of hitting. Coach Reeves is very knowledgeable about the game. Highly recommend him for hitting lessons!”

Rachele and Kevin are always eager to answer your fitness questions. They are both very knowledgeable on nutrition and training programs. They utilize their space efficiently and have some of the latest gym equipment. Very convenient location and are open 24 hrs. Jeff L.”
“I joined this gym before it was even being done being built. Great prices even just for tanning but my God how long does it take to replace a mirror? Several tanning rooms don't have mirrors and I take a few minutes after tanning because I have to get ready for work afterwards. Little things like this are why I may not stay. It's a mirror not anything expensive, this is really simple stuff that should be automatically replaced, but no, they just disappear and never get replaced. It has literally been months.”

1251 W Harold St, Olathe“I have really enjoyed this gym so far. I switched from a larger health club chain because of cost and distance from my house, and I have loved my decision thus far. It has pretty much everything you need from a free weight perspective, with a selection of isolation and cardio machines. It also offers 24/7 access. I will mention, if you’re interested to contact this location through their posted office hours instead of the main website for questions.”
“I joined this location because of the impressive staff. Dealing with Bryce and Brandon is a pleasure! I appreciate the effort they put into providing excellent service to their customers.”
“For my first visit to this location it was a really positive experience. Staff were friendly, facilities were in very good condition, overall good atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!Edit: recently had a technical issue and the desk staff helped me figure out a solution. Sandra, Jai, and Bryce are awesome and friendly! Tranel and Steve are super knowledgeable and always have a smile on their faces. They are all willing to go above and beyond to help their clients. 11 months after my first visit and I'm still impressed. Great team, great atmosphere.”
“Hello, my name is Carson. I review gyms in the Kansas City Area. Today we will be looking at “Genesis- East Olathe”
A solid gym for what it’s worth. Everything upstairs is good and works fine. However most machines besides the hammer strength machines are pretty outdated and slightly broken.
The building is definitely ready for the remodel coming soon. From the outdated tile floors, to the gross bathroom/ locker room walls.
One thing I wish they did that would be an easy fix is supplying towels in the locker room. I commonly have to come back and grab towels after I have already entered the locker room.
The front desk is always very kind and friendly. The trainers do a good job as well. Busy at common busy times but empty at other times.
Final notes; the pool is a solid size and the outdoor pool is decent as well. Although both are very outdated, they get the job done. The basketball court needs improvement.
This gym fits the standard for the price in my opinion. It is a great setup for the average gym-goer. However, doesn’t exceed any expectations”
“My favorite gym ever! Everyone is kind & welcoming from the trainers to the members. The only workouts I've been able to stick with. Highly recommend this gym!”
