Made a reservation for 11/22/23 online, when I get there the guy says we can't accept your driver's license, because it is from another state.okc. and then he started to smile like it was funny are something, I'm trying to go to a funeral,he still has a smurk on his face, this is not My first time renting from here,he said, that's he's rule.plus he made me leave the office, because some people was in the same position as me, this guy made me stand outside while it's Cold, outside and tell the 2 ladies if you can show me some paper that you stay in Kansas City, they could rent a car.WOW how cruel can you be, maybe it was because of the color of my skin.SO THANKS BUDGET, COULD NOT RENT A CAR TO GO TO MY FIRST AUNT FUNERAL, PLUS I HAD TO PAY FOR A RIDE TO KCMO.

Mike at the Olathe location was a blessing! He was kind, responsive and provided excellent customer service. His efficiency and great personality made our rental a very pleasant experience. He was very knowledgeable on instructing is in how to use the straps for the car hitch and how to hook and unhook. Mike even helped us find the right coverage for the trans-state move while answering all of our questions and giving us peace of mind. Highly recommend this location and if even again in KC, would definitely come back to this location!

Terrible experience. Son booked a rental for a 4 door Dodge Charger R/T or so he thought. We get there and he's told sorry we don't have any cars available in 4 door. No phone call ahead of time to give him the common courtesy of letting him know so that he could book elsewhere. He settled on another vehicle only to be told that he needed a major credit card or a debit card for holding a crazy high deposit because of the "type of car" they did have available which was a Dodge challenger 2 door. Since I was there with him, I stepped in to take over the rental as he did not have a utility bill matching the address on his license. My address is also different but I explained that I recently moved and offered my electric bill AND copy of mortgage statement but that wasn't good enough. They turned me away. My Evergy bill was current with nothing past and my mortgage statement was not accepted when clearly the website states only ONE document needed: "For Customers Renting at an Off-Airport Location - must bring a current copy (within the last 45 days) of renter's contracted cellular phone bill, home telephone or utility bill, bank statement, mortgage statement, paycheck stub or insurance statement/policy declaration showing their name and local address. Qualifying documents cannot show a past due or negative account balance, negative account activity or disconnect notice." I have NEVER in my life had a problem renting from ANY rental caragency with or without a credit card and never had to pay a large deposit. Needless to say I will never go back. That was 1 hour and 20 min of my time I can never get back. They don't post clear policies....please tell me why my Evergy bill and mortgage statement were not sufficient and why you felt the need to request another utility bill when per policy as stated above from your website only one item is needed??? Not to mention, this location was super unorganized, and not managed properly. Agents did not seem to know what they were doing or what was available in their fleet and every last car on the lot looked like older models and dirty. Also, it took them almost 30 min to realize they gave a customer the WRONG set of keys after he kept coming in to tell them the key didn't work. If ever in need of a rental, I'll be skipping Budget no matter how low of a price they advertise.

They did not clean the car or refill the gas before giving it to me. I also reserved one car class and was given another and they refused to adjust the price so I overpaid with no heads up before. Also they were more expensive. Seems like a scam they pull.

If I can go negative I would. I ended up waking up to a flat tire. No one would anwser the phone. For 3 days I couldn't get a live person. When I brought the truck back they said they would let ne know what's going to happen. No one let me know anything but my credit card would get charged 150. I took some pictures of the tire and every person told me it was weather rotted. I can't get anyone to talk to me so I'm out that money. I'm a single mom so it does make a difference. I hope other people don't have to go through this and I'm sorry if they do.

Terrible customer service. Charged me an Overstay fee on a vehicle that was returned on time. Then after dealing with RUDE customer service rep s and the runaround for 3 weeks. Then was informed about the fee. Once they looked and seen that the fee shouldn't have been applied I get an printout of my contract to help once I get in touch with Customer care. They tell me they don't have any record of my contract, even though I'm holding it in my hand as I'm on the phone. So still waiting to get my deposit refunded. Watch yourself at this place. Something real SKETCHY is going on at this place. Rent ANYWHERE but here.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. RUN FROM THIS PLACE! They took advantage of me being young and a first time renter. They made me think I had to get more rental insurance, even though I have full active coverage on my policy. When they called to verify my insurance was active they only asked if I had rental benefits on my policy. Did not ask the representative what my deductible was, if it was liability only, etc. When I came back 2 hours later to return the vehicle and null and void the rental contract they didn't argue at all and told me the charges would be fully refunded. Over a month later the charges are still on my card. I had to call 3 different phone #'s and speak to 4 different people to finally get to who I actually needed to speak to. The first person I spoke to said I should have called the prepaid department when the refunded was being processed because I booked the rental online, which the man and woman at this location did not inform me of. I finally got to speak to a supervisor, Edgar, and he apologized on behalf of the company and immediately refunded it back to me. He even informed me that he was getting his supervisors involved to look into this location and also encouraged me to fill out a form on their website about my experience as well. Edgar was the ONLY professional person I spoke/interacted with and saved the day but I will NEVER rent from budget again and will discourage anyone from ever using them for any services.

Before you rent a moving truck, have them email you the Personal Financial Responsibility Certificate. It consists of 9 questions you need your car insurance company to answer. If you have commercial vehicle coverage you should have no problem. My only other advice is to avoid renting anything from this company. They will screw you in one way or another and there is zero accountability.

They'll keep your deposit. I called and asked why they took it, they said to ask my bank. Then I called back after being told they took it, got transferred to a different location, then got hung up on. Kind of expected from a low end rental place like this, but still upsetting to be out 150 for doing nothing.
