“Lisa has been coming to my house for well over a year to trim my dogs (5 100lbs to 8lbs) nails. I decided I wanted to stop grooming my little. I love the store and the concept of it. Will definitely go again for trims.”
“My dog was clean, trimmed, and happy. The woman (I'm bad at names) who was there was polite and great with my old man. She also got done sooner than expected. So great experience all around.”
“The place is great for our needs with having a pet grooming business and all but the prices are a bit high. Other then that super friendly helpful people willing to lend a hand!”
“We adopted our sweet girl from Caring Hands after she went through a very difficult few weeks.
She started at Caring Hands, from what we could tell, she went to Petsmart with her littermate/brother where we fell in love with her! We weren't aware that the male was her littermate when we met her. Her form listed that she lived with a small dog and male cat. We told Petsmart we wanted her, they then informed us that they wanted her to be adopted with her brother (we understood) our dog doesn't like male cats so it just wouldn't work. They were adopted together 4 days later.
The next week I was checking the Caring Hands website, and right there on the front page was our sweet girl, but no brother!
I called and placed a hold on her until we could head to Newton and pick her up. When I asked what happened, we were told that she was returned because the wife was allergic to her.
Her first night home was not easy, to say the least. =( she cried all night long in her room. She pulled the curtains down and knocked everything off the dresser, flung her litter; she was STRESSED. I was also scared something was wrong with her. She cried for 6 hours pacing around through the entire night.
The next day, we went to Petsmart to pick up another scratching post and catnip.
We saw the Petsmart adoption lady & told her we ended up w/ Cassy, she said a group of teenagers bought Cassy & Skeeter, but returned Cassy because she wasn't fun enough, and was "moody!" They kept her 2 days! Poor baby! She was shuffled around after having a stable 4 years of her life in the same home. She lost her littermate/brother, her "parents" and her dog, then was shuffled around not knowing what was happening to her. No wonder she cried all night.
I DO wish Caring Hands would've told us what actually happened to her so we would know to expect her to be stressed out.
I understand some people wouldn't want to take her home if they knew that she may be stressed out, but we wanted her even more knowing what she went through! We weren't going to give up!
The second night, we were more prepared. with ear plugs on hand. we removed everything from the dresser & made her a cubby to hide in. I checked on her through the night, and she was just fine. She slept all night in her cubby!
The next day she played a little & ate great. The next night she slept great again!
This is day 11 and she seems to be fully adjusted. Her sassy lil personality is showing. She's SO playful, cuddly, she purrs and talks all the time. She LOVES our little dog, and he tolerates her ?
She now sleeps at the end of my teenagers bed on her back with her head hanging off the side ? she's such a goober!
She makes our family complete. ♡”
