10AM - 7PM
6219 Johnson Dr, Mission“Stopped in to grab a quick last minute outfit and was presently surprised to find a couple dresses and a purse for under $30. Thank you to J, who was very polite and accommodating for me.”
1 - 3PM 9AM - 12PM
736 Shawnee Ave, Kansas City“They have an awesome setup for grocery shopping! Don't go away hungry; the kitchen on the corner is a must. I have heard the taco salad is really great, but I haven't stopped in yet on the right day to be able to agree or disagree with that.”
“Pretty neat store. They have a lot of used items and a lot of new items, donated mostly. I found something I wasn't looking for, which was a bucket of paint. At check out they told me there is a 30 day return policy, So if I don't quite like the paint I can bring it back. The paint I get for a great deal a gallon for $11. They have furniture, lights, bathroom stuff, chairs, tables, dining room sets, TV stands, etc. Eve some free items. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful.”
“Great finds at thrift store prices - the way it should be. Very helpful staff. Got a Gauguin for $9.50 and a Basset dresser for $38 and they deliver (for a fee).”
“Very interesting stuff. The staff was helpful and friendly. I found a few items to purchase. I didn't get to the outside stuff but you just have to go look.”
“Shopped at the Lenexa location on Black Friday. Everything was half price. Lots of shoppers. The selection of merchandise is amazing. Prices were great. And the staff was extremely friendly. Love this store.”
“The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is clean, organized and full of a large variety of items in good shape. Always a pleasure to donate to Habitat, now a pleasure to shop there.”
“I've been to Annie's a few times to buy and sell have never had a problem with customer service or not getting products returned back if not bought I think Annie and her staff are great and will continue to buy and sell and refer others to her.”
“I do not have enough stars for the donation team ! They were amazing to work with, and I will continue to only donate to Salvation Army at this location! Jesus and his team and the best!!”
“I love this place It always has everything thar I am looking for. From heating pads, quality fair priced skirts, home organization, out doors, books, home office supplies, most items pennies on the dollar. weekly deals, this place does the shopping for me.”
“Clothes don't be clean, dog fur or bodily stains...but they can be washed, just stores time they aren't the types that shouldn't be in the bins. Other than that I love it”
“They have a fantastic selection of kids clothes for great prices (speaking to baby items specifically which are $2-3 per piece. This is much better than typical pricing of $4 or up each at Salvation Army, etc). I've found bamboo high end brands like Posh Peanut here along with Janie and Jack, Cat & Jack Target, Carter's, Walmart brand (wonder something). On Wednesdays they are an extra 20% off!! I highly recommend, it's my fav thrift store for kids clothing. I like to go in each month to see what's new. Staff are also very friendly. No reason to pay $15 and up per item new that gets worn for a month or some months. My 2nd favorite is Maj-R-Thrift in Grandview ( 1500 Main St) huge selection, great prices. Worth the drive. They display by color not size which isn't my fav. They run 50% off entire store sales on memorial day/labor day etc if you're in their text or free rewards club. For seasonal consignment mega sales Rhea Lana is great. I've purchased all my strollers that way. Just Between Friends has better prices but check out lines are at least 1 hour to get through every time not making it worth it to me.”
“SOME of the employees are absolutely amazing.... Also, the store is usually kept pretty organized and categorized... there are hardly ever any (sales) special colored tags on the clothing tho...”
9AM - 8PM
5441 W 95th St, Overland Park“Savers is a nice place to shop, but I wish the employees were given more useful assignments than to constantly walk around and slide clothes on hangers to one end of the rack. It's annoying and a waste of time, and I think it deters at least some customers from freely browsing product. I realize there is some reasoning behind this, but it seems pointless to walk around doing this during shopping hours.”
“Love Turn Styles! We go there a lot now. Their prices are very good. We’ve purchased some furniture and lamps and clothes and shoes. I took my daughter there and she even found a set of golf clubs she wanted! Now she takes her daughter there. Great place to shop.”
“I always leave here spending more money than I intended. Good for them bag for me. The staff is always friendly and helpful... Make sure you sign up for the rewards! The fact that something is on sale everyday is a plus for me too.”
“Quickly becoming the best Savers in the area in terms of price and content. Big store, lots of traffic = more donations = more product. Prices are okay for savers, still too much for a thrift store. Whatevs”
“I'm a diehard thrifter (I made this word up) so I visit thrift stores wherever I find them. It's not a large store and there's not a huge selection as with other thrift stores that I've visited but as always a "once drop in" doesn't hurt. Never know what you might find. It was cool and the cashier had me rollin. She used a counterfeit marker on my $5 bill. We both got a laugh outta that. I'll stop by again when I'm in the area.”
8AM - 5PM
1000-1098 Lydia Ave, Kansas City“Changed my life for the better. Made me look more at myself and God and what I can control and react. Would have gave it 5 Starz but I went when the pandemic hit and they suspended visitation/ escape. They had to take us for supervised walks.”
“I brought a bag of my fiancée’s clothes in and i was in and out in less than 5 min! Ava was so kind and helpful!
( P.S. Fellas, they have top notch mens clothing here as well!!)”
“The staff at this location is absolutely incredible. Every single person that works there always has a smile on their face and is always happy to greet you. I lost my phone today and had it not been for such an attentive staff and the idea to turn off the overhead music, I wouldn't have found my phone and I'm so grateful and thankful. Even the shoppers there stopped to help me.”
“I've been a regular customer at this store for over eight years. I like that I can go there and find a complete capsule wardrobe. I was there two days ago. I bought two winter coats (like new) six sweaters, bootie boots. I paid $98.00. Yes, it was expensive for a Thrift store but the quality of the sweaters are like new, good quality. If I'd buy everything brand new it would've been over $300.00; specifically if I had bought my coats at a name store like JCPenney or Burlington. One coat is a black long petty coat with a hoodie. One is a short grey petty coat. The prices are on items; if you pay attention as you enter; the cashier will tell you the 50%, 60%,75%items on sale that day. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY SAY AS YOU WALK IN. This will make your shopping experience efficient because then you'll know what to focus on for that day.I buy lamps, pots and pans, shirts for work for my hubbie, furniture items sometimes they get new items that are nice.I put four stars because they DO NOT ? HAVE RESTROOMS. To all elderly customers; do not?? go into the store expecting to use the restroom. They will tell you, to go elsewhere. ??”
9AM - 9PM
11421 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park“Most of the prices wear pretty good and the selection of clothing had a wide range. Furniture and electronics wear pretty bare, but got a great genuine leather jacket for $25 and the staff was nice so you can't beat that!”
“I like this place because they take a lot of donations. They give you a receipt for your taxes. They help you unload. Their story is neat and clean and organized. Their prices are reasonable.”
“I have always had good experiences every time I visit this store and always find more than I think I would. It is nice to have one decent thrift store in Grand View.”
“They had no power and I had to go to goodwill instead, only to realize they barely have anything in there. I'd rather shop this store without power than ever go to goodwill again. That's how much I like City thrift.”
11AM - 7PM
8330 N Broadway, Kansas City“I stopped by here this afternoon to donate some clothing. At first glance, everything was neat and orderly for such a big store. The staff was friendly and helped guide us around back to where the drop off point was. It would have been nice to have a clear sign or some sort of communication indicating a drop off point in the back of the store rather than inside. Compared to other thrift / salvation army stores, this one is much more well-kept. Parking is ample and should not be an issue for anyone. Happy donations =]”
“truly the best thrift store in greater KC area. other local thrift shops, even other church run thrift shops, it’s almost as if they forget that the people who benefit most from 2nd hand shops are underprivileged families who can’t afford brand new everything. this place gets it right. such fair prices. even their boutique section, is fair and affordable. giving a safe space for families, especially middles class and families below the poverty line, to shop in dignity. to receive affordable, quality pieces. i truly had pretty much given up hope at thrift stores, it gotten to the point where it was significantly cheaper to just buy new at places like target at tj maxx, but turnstyles restored my faith. seriously, this is how real charities who genuinely care about helping their local community should always be. other thrift stores; local, and chains, charge $12+ for a old stained chiefs shirt, simply because it’s chiefs. here, almost all clothes with the exception of a few “boutique” pieces are all marked the same price. every t-shirt is the same price ($2.99), every pair of leggings, same, every jacket, same etc. absolutely no price gouging. i know it sounds silly, but it almost made me emotional that i was able to basically get everything i wanted without having to get out a calculator and narrow it down to 2 or 3 pieces. thank you for providing a clean, and organized space where everyone can afford to shop. you truly are giving back to your community, and are the definition of charity.”
