Lauren, the pharmacist on Tuesday 10/3, decided that the pharmacy was not going to answer the phones. At all.She also decided that they weren’t going to call patients back.I finally called the customer service grocery counter and they offered to page the pharmacy for me.After which, I was on hold with the pharmacy for over an hour waiting for help. When Lauren finally picked up, all she could do was complain to ME about how “overwhelmed” the 3 people working there today were but no apology for my hour-long hold. All I’ve ever seen working there is 3 people. Not sure why other pharmacists can do the job, but Lauren can’t.

Similar to some previous reviews, it’s pretty obvious the pharmacy is short staffed and noticeably stressed. The techs do a good job trying to keep a good pace and be as helpful as they’re allowed to be. Unfortunately, as of lately the pharmacists aren’t super friendly and they seem to prefer hiding in the back to do their work so they can avoid customer interaction while the techs handle difficult/confusing situations that should be handled by the pharmacist.

We've been coming to this Hy-Vee pharmacy for a number of years and never had any problems until the last year or two. I realize the pharmacy is short-handed and I can only imagine the stress pharmacists are working under. But I dread having to call anything in and more often use the auto-attendant. There is a definite "crankiness" and I have been barked at on a number of occasions. I have been told many times to give them 24-48 hours notice in case they have to order and when I do that, I'm told it's way to early. If I call on the exact day, I am told I am not giving enough notice. Sadly, most of my prescriptions are not in stock and have to be ordered. A pharmacist will give me a date of arrival and usually that is off by 2 or 3 days more. We've waited as long as 4 days. We do not want to jump ship, but we would love an explanation.

They keep great records, great with vaccinations updates, nice discounts on comparable store brands of national brands of arthritis cream, eye wash, cold & fluitems. Walk-in or appointments for vaccinations. Always willing to answer questions.

Today I found myself accused many times by Lauren Anderson, the current pharmacy manager, of treating the pharmacy as my personal “waiter”.I thought I may be annoying sometimes but I did not think I deserved this.I have never been rude to the employees here and I deeply appreciate them. I have noticed that they do seem frequently to be on edge with the patient volume to employee to ratio at the store. She asked me numerous times if REALLY needed my meds tonight but come to find out she was not asking out of concern, she was apparently angry at me for same day requests for a long time but did not mention it until today. When I asked why she was being this rude she began venting her frustration at me that this has happened consistently (“every time”) and venting to me about how busy they are. Then she told me that I should have 4 more days worth of my current script and accused me of not taking meds as prescribed. If they could not fill today I was asking for one dose tonight until the morning as they have done for me and numerous others in the past. In fact, they were the ones who suggested this to me before. She proceeded to accuse me of compromising their medicine inventory by getting the one pill before the next day (not a controlled or abused substance), and then accused me of compromising their finances by doing so even though I was willing to pay for the full script. Again, this has been their own policy. I asked if I should talk to my doctor or another pharmacy etc and she said sure. I finally asked point blank if she was denying me but she said I could come and get the single dose for the this evening.I don’t pretend to know anything about this industry, but at 150k per year I would hope pharm managers could afford patients more dignity than this.

Picked up a grocery order on 12/19 that had Smart Chicken in it. A few days later, refrigerator starts to smell. The chicken they put in my order had expired on 12/16 and they put this rotten chicken in my order on 12/19. It was $12.17. I submitted a request for refund on the website and they have kicked it back to the Mission Store. No one has called me about it and it’s 1/2/23. I called today and there was one person there and the manager had already left so I can’t be refunded. So now I either have to call again or just kiss my money goodbye. Don’t order fresh meat on grocery pickup. They put the expired garbage that no one will buy in your order to get rid of it. Groceries are already expensive enough as it is without forcing spoiled meat onto customers.

I just walked out of store and sitting in parking lot. What happened to customer service? The cashier rang up my goods but didn't put them in a bag. instead he pushed them down so I could pack my purchase. I don't work for HyVee. this was not a self check out lane. It's the reason I don't Shop at Aldis. it appears the jingle failed to provide full disclosure. "Like Aldis, you can shop here and pack your own purchases. But we charge more for the lack of customer service."

This pharmacy is the worst, I have had medications filled here various time over the past year due to lower pricing. I call multiple times and no one ever answers, every single time I have to drive here and they tell me the medication is not ready and that it will be either multiple hours or days. It’s not worth the lower price with this insane hassle, last prescription I will fill here.

Staff is very friendly but hard to reach on the phone. Pay attention to their hours as they close earlier than most pharmacies.
