The process was easy to get in and out of. The parking lot asphalt is horrible. Serious potholes that can damage to a car. Other than that, it was great.

The website does not tell you which of the units have large roll-up garage doors and which ones have normal swing doors. If you call to ask for one with a roll up door, you can't get the on-line rate. You have to reserve and then see what you get and ask to switch which is a pain. The units are nice but the asphalt in the parking lot of the location in Merriam, KS is in bad shape.

Since I started a contract with Public Storage in May, the communication between myself and Public Storage has been incredibly unsatisfactory. Setting up automatic pay has been a nightmare. I went as far as going in-person to their office in Merriam, Kansas and settled my bill I was told by the manager that the matter was taken care of. Since then their automatic payment has failed miserably and they have charged late lees even though the problem was on their end.

I have been a customer at this facility for almost 2 1/2 years.... they raised my rates from $67 to $141 in 2 years.... I'm a disabled senior on a fixed income and they do not care.... I have used storage units in the past for 30 yrs and never had a 50% increase in 2 years I'm out of there by May 31 ...I do not recommend this corporate company who has gotten too big for their britches to care about customers budgets or about them on a personal level. I always paid on time and was not a bother to them. They have put me in a horrible predicament to hire someone to help move all my stuff out since I can't afford that kind of increase in my monthly budget. This year alone my unit went from $112 to $141. Just Wow! I won't be back! I will say the only saving grace at this particular property is Lindsay the property manager she is very accommodating and good at her job and very helpful... too bad the company doesn't follow her lead and take care of the customers like she does!!I I had originally had given this facility one star but changed to 3 stars Only because Lindsay's great customer service!

They do not make it clear on the website that you can make a reservation without paying. The website says "NO OBLIGATION" but I made a reservation and paid for it and then 2 days later, before even moving in, we realized it was not going to be the right size and cancelled our reservation and lost $29 in the process.

very convenient location, close to the highway. With competitive pricing and Easy and secure access. This location is always clean, if you're looking for a storage location look no more you found it. Kudos to the entire staff on a great facility. The Pearson family.

RENTER BEWARE!!! We booked online 2 days prior to move day as there was no answer at the location (1st hint of a problem) We arrived on moving day, followed the directions from our auto text and located our unit. Turns our our 10x10 unit had been modified by joining two 5x10 units at the end of a building with a walk up entrance between buildings. This left us with a SINGLE 36 inch door! This info was not disclosed when signing their paperwork online. We NEEDED a 10x10 because we had several appliances to store and needed a large opening to store the items. We went to the office but it was closed. (hint #2) Called the office # on the door but no answer (hint #3) We called customer service to explain there must be a mistake with the reservation. They apologized and tried for 30 minutes to reach the property manager to no avail. (hint #4) They had no other units to offer and no way to get us in one that day. With a full UHAUL truck that had to be returned by 5 pm we asked for a refund, after much back and forth we were told it would be returned to our bank within 7 days (hint#5). It is now 3 weeks later, 2 more phone calls with 30+ minute holds and still no refund. On our 3rd call to customer service we were put on hold while they spoke to the manager of the location. They answered but would only authorized a return MINUS the $29 set up fee. They said that portion was non-refundable. We found this UNACCEPTABLE as the error was theirs and asked for the customer service agent to escalate us to a manager. After another 20 min discussion and long holds we FINALLY had a resolution of a FULL REFUND. Now I wait for my refund to hit my bank. Fingers crossed!! We will go OUT of our way to NEVER use this company. Moving is hard enough without the added chaos of poor management.
