Decent location but would rather just go to the hotel next door. First off the receptionist was really rude and threatened to cancel my room even though I'm here for work and then the room that I got was dirty. To top it all off as I walking in I saw 8 gigantic roaches. Needles to say really disappointed

This review does not reflect on most of the friendly, hard working staff. One female manager barked at me after she told me my payment method was unacceptable in my attempt to comprehend how, when that payment method is how I got the room and made two previous payments with. If that payment method is not acceptable, then refund my payments. Also, the toilet did not flush properly my whole stay. My first day, housekeeping knocked with plunger in hand, although I had not called anyone to report it. This told me that they knew the toilet did not flush properly.The water level rose when flushed. I bought a plunger rather than call the office everything I flushed the toilet. But that turned out to be more work than just driving to a gas station. I left management a note then checked out. I found a review from 3 months earlier. It said " The plumbing sucked!" Extended Stay responded, " It is never our intention to fall short of a guest's expectations. Corrective measures within the relative departmentsare currently underway to mitigate similar impacts on future guests." Well guess what folks? That was a lie to save face. Because corrective measures did not mitigate similar impacts on this future guest 3 months later. Yet they had no problem taking my money and charging full price with no refund offer or apology of any kind. That is until they read this review. I'm curious, will they not reply? Or make false promises again? Or stop ripping people off by either fixing the plumbing or offering a discount for the rooms with bad plumbing guess is no reply and business as usual. I have had good experiences at other Extended Stay locations. Management and owners make the difference.

They rooms are infested with roaches. If you're good with the nastiness of the hotel, then that's the place for you. It's cheap, in a good location, however it's got bugs. Even with spraying the room down with roach spray it did not deter the bugs. Do not recommend. Then when you check out because of the bugs they charge your credit card, and won't refund your money.

The employees are very friendly, my stay here as been fantastic. I definitely would recommend it. Become a member and the rates are so much better. The rooms add fantastic

All the staff is friendly. Good price and location is amazing. Brandon, Sasha, Sierra, Rachel, and all the front desk staff are amazing.

At their price, it's hard to ask for better. Sierra, Rachel & Brandon have been superb with management and always very friendly and helpful. It's been a great experience!

Over the years I’ve stayed at many extended stays, for both business and personal reasons. This extended stay is by far the best I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. The staff (Brandon, Sasha, Cierra, Rachel, and Felix) have come to be like family, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable and stress free as possible. The property is extremely safe and I’ve never feared for my families safety. The maintenance and housekeeping team work diligently to keep the property maintained and clean. Brian with housekeeping is very helpful and keeps a smile on his face. Overall I would recommend this property to anyone looking for reasonably priced hotel in the Overland Park area ❤️

I'd like to convey my personal experience and also want to thank the 2 managers Rachyl & Sam for their genuine & considerate hospitality, professionalism & peaceful attitude towards me when visiting Extended Stay here in Merriam.
All hotels should have more workers like them.
Rooms: Very nice and clean rooms and great establishment.
Nearby activities: Lots of activities near by
Safety: Very safe
Walkability: Lots of places to walk to
Food and drinks: Great places near by
Noteworthy details: Rachyl & Sam are what other workers at hotels should inspire to be.
