Today was our puppy's first visit. Dr. Ellis and staff were super nice! I usually go to the Olathe Vet, but wanted to get him in for flea and tick medicine as soon as possible. Merriam Branch was super accommodating and even called within an hour of making his first appointment to see if we'd like to come in early due to cancelations. Both our dogs have been taken good care if here and I love with the Wellness Plans I can bring them to any location when we go out if state.

We have their pet insurance which gives us free checks, vaccines, and teeth cleaning. Luckily it also provides a discount on nonstandard treatments, after our dog Mars got a bowel obstruction from a pork rib bone. They had a Vet on staff that performed an operation the same day it was discovered, which prevented it from getting much worse than if there had been a wait. $2500, but way cheaper than an emergency vet! He's recovering nicely, this photo is from the day after, while we were nursing his wounds. He's about back to his old self now!

They always take care is my babies. They show that they care about them and are always patient with me when I have questions. Wouldn't want to have to take my babies anywhere else.

Very, very bad communication skills. And very unorganized.

This place is ridiculously unorganized. We took our cat Benjamin in for blood in his vomit and arrived at 5:30. We handed him over to the tech and didn't see him again until 9:15 when we left.My key complaints would be:1. Wait time... obviously.2. The vet told me my invoice was ready to pay. Proceeded to the desk, where I was informed it hadn't been approved yet. I sat down for 30 minutes waiting for anything to happen and finally went back up to the desk, where my invoice was ready. It's like they have no way of tracking this. ?3. Waited an additional 30 minutes after payment for me to receive my cat, while the receptionists gossip behind the counter. Granted, it's not your job, but I've paid my invoice. GET ME MY PET.4. Watching a dog that had passed be carried through the lobby, discussing cremation options, and watching the owner walk away sobbing. I feel so sorry for that woman. That could have been handled differently. My pet was labeled with stress. I am not confident in the diagnosis after spending over $400.I have had to say goodbye to pets at this location before, and it was quick and private, but I will never be back.

!!!DO NOT get the wellness plan!!! It cover's absolutely nothing but vaccines and you can get those cheaper at a local veterinarian clinic. My dog was also stolen and they told me there's nothing they will do to stop the payments for the wellness plan. They now are trying to charge me for a plan I can no longer use. Please don't waste your money on this company!

If I could Give This Place A Zero I would do it!Don't Take Your Pets To This Place! Our Regular Vet Was Not Available So We Went to This Place...I have not had any good experience with this pet hospital in Merriam. But, This Is The Last Straw! The Vet spent hardly any time with my dog. Yet The Fee Was Huge. They Charge for an office visit ($57.95) which is okay and expected and charging for medication is also fine and expected, but to add things like charging for actually administrating the injection in addition to cost of the medication an (extra $30) on top of the $40.22 for the medication, This is Outrageous!Certain Things Like (Ear Swab) ($50.14) To Determine My Dog Has A Yeast Infection. He gets those often and I told them we did not need to do the swab because he gets those regularly. (We Already know its a yeast infection.) They said it had to be done, Okay, I Guess I get That, But I have NEVER had a vet charge EXTRA to administer the injection on top of the price of the $ 57.95 Office Visit. And Then She did not even give him his first ear treatment. She just sent the medication ($53.08) home for me to do it. He was prescribed another med for his pain and irritation($16.78), I do not mind paying for the meds and the office visit fee, but to (ADD $30.00)To Administer it, COME ON! oh and just to top it off they actually charged ($4.80) for " Medical Waste Disposal" This is CRAZY!Anyway, They are Super High Priced and When I called to discuss this with the manager , she said nothing she can do. So I asked for Corporate's phone number she gave it to me and said they will just send it back to her. The Bill Was Over $250.00 her first suggestions would have costs us almost $500. So We had to cut out a lot of her suggestions. Corporate doesn't seem to care either! Never Going Back There! We Are Senior Citizens and we love our doggy , he is like our child.

I really appreciate the staff, the efficiency and communication! It’s easy to get an appointment and get seen, they love my dog so much when he comes in, and they do an amazing job of breaking down everything they did during the visit and also what needs to happen after.
