Diego was friendly, engaging and really took care of our family. I have been an AT&T customer 2004. People like Diego make me want to continue. He was laid back and conversational. I appreciated his eye contact and smile. It was nice to see a Hispanic male. I’d like to see him promoted. The store manager—not so much. You could tell the manager was ALL about the sales. No warmth and when Diego’s device wasn’t working to set up my automatic debit, the manager came over and said something like, “well, when the system goes down it could be a day before it reboots…” No affect and I felt like he didn’t care that I would have to return to the store the next day to set up my automatic debit payments. Diego, on the other hand, was apologetic and immediately pulled out his business card and told me his hours for the next day. Promote people like Diego who actually care about customers. Because of him we added yet another line. We now have 5 lines with AT & T.And another thing: When our home town CHIEFS are playing in a Divisional Playoff game against the Bills—Close the store so your employees can enjoy kickoff. AT&T is a multi-billion dollar company. You can afford to put up a fun sign at the Merriam store that the store will be closing early to help cheer on our team.So, a reward for Diego, a D-minus for the store manager and a bit of kindness for these employees who are working their butts off. The least you can do is authorize pizzas for employees to enjoy at the store while the TVs are tuned to the game.I went back the next day and was warmly greeted by Diego who took care of setting up my automatic debit payments, which will save me money, in less than 10 minutes. I offered him a hot drink from Quik Trip and he smiled and said, “No thank you. Buy a drink for a homeless person.”THAT’S THE AT&T CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT NEEDS TO BE RECOGNIZED!

Came to this location after having an unpleasant experience at the Shawnee, KS location. Honestly was nervous to even go into another AT&T store as we’ve had multiple incidents. My fiancé and I explained to the sales lady Lashandra what happened previously and that we already knew the plan and phones we wanted and so on. From a salesperson to another salesperson, I’d definitely recommend Lashandra as she was polite, understanding, and got us taken care of. She saw how relived and happy we were that we were finally able to switch over to AT&T with no issues this time. Thanks again.

I have had past good experiences at this location, but with buying a new iPhone here recently I felt very taken advantage of after I got my first bill afterwards. I was price checking with the rep after every step of the process, I came to the total of roughly around $110-$120 for my bill alone (I am on a plan with my younger sister). Rep explained there would be first time fees to pay first time around on my bill, totally understandable, that should come out to less than $200 for my line alone. NOPE! My bill was almost $300! I am absolutely floored they have the ability to just lie to you to close on the sale. It’s crazy to me and honestly is making me consider switching to another provider ultimately when I can. Completely not okay. I am not happy at all and will not be returning.

I went to several different AT&T stores in the KC area and had less-than-pleasant experiences. My phone screen started glitching and then became unresponsive. I was frantic, as this phone is the only way I can communicate with my husband, who is currently on a military assignment. Thank goodness I tried this Merriam location - all of the sales staff are amazing! Esau went the extra mile for me. He was extremely patient and very professional, and he went above and beyond to help me get a brand new phone for free with my trade in. He also made it possible for me get my defective phone fixed, and added a new line to my plan to serve as my work phone! Obel, the store manager, also provided great support, and explained everything to me very carefully and thoroughly. These guys know their stuff! Unlike other stores, the sales staff at this AT&T location really and truly care about their customers. Please give them a shot if you are looking for great service! Thank you Esau and Obel!
