I limped here on a gear shifter that needed a new groove. It completely disintegrated. My tow truck guy rigged me up to make it to the transmission shop and told me to ask for Junior or Victor. They were swamped with cars. But they said they would try their best to take a look at it before the end of the day. Well, end of day came and went, no call. First thing in the morning they called and my car was fixed and ready for pickup. Charges? $74 for parts and labor. So incredibly fair. And they were kind and easy to talk to. 5/5 recommend. Mexican owned and ran company. Great work!!!!

We originally had our vehicle towed to a shop 30 miles away from where A&V is. The quote the original place gave us for a transmission rebuild was very high. I called A&V Transmissions, and they immediately gave me a quote that was $1,500 less than the first shop. We had it towed to A&V and my van was ready to go exactly a week later. They didn’t try to sell us a ton of other repairs like the previous shop. We are very pleased with our experience.Services: Transmission

Took my vehicle in for a transmission rebuild. First off, they were the only shop of the half dozen or so I called that opted for a rebuild vs replace. That alone saved me about $2500 so using them was a no brainer. All the work was completed in just over a week, which was right on with what I was told when I dropped it off. The day I brought it home (I live in Lee’s Summit, so a decent drive) there was a smell of gasoline. I called them the next morning with the issue, Victor told me to bring it up asap so I did. They found the problem and fixed it very quickly free of charge and had me on my way. I was very satisfied with my service and would use them again, although I hope I won’t need to.Services: Transmission repair

I had a transmission rebuilt in my 2013 Buick Enclave by A&V. When I got it back it was immediately apparent that something wasn't right. It would delay shift from 1st into 2nd, and when doing so the rpm gauge would spike, when taking off from a stop it would feel as if the parking break was on, didn't have the power it did before and the speedometer was 10 miles off. I took it back to them, and kept telling them that there was something very wrong with it. They kept insisting that they drove it, nothing was wrong with it and the computer wasn't showing any codes.I've since taken it to four different transmission places for a diagnosis, never telling them that I had it checked out and what the other place found out. Every single one of them said that they put the wrong transmission in my vehicle, which is why I'm having these problems. The company I'm going to have complete the work is going to document the replacement process so I'll have concrete proof of my claims.I'm going to have to have another transmission put in my vehicle at a cost of $3,500. I feel as if they kept putting me off for a year until the warranty went out so as to not be responsible for their mistake. I will NEVER use this company again, and I'm talking to a lawyer to see if I have the option to pursue legal action against them to help compensate for this expense.Service: Transmission
