I’m really disappointed in Rowland (manager) and his service department staff’s dishonesty. Within 27 days of owning a car that I bought from Town & Country, I heard some strange noises when I would turn my wheel to the right. I scheduled an appointment & went in to get it checked out since I bought the car from them. They should have looked it over more carefully before putting it on the lot to sale. At my checkup appointment, they brushed me off, didn’t even put my car up on the lift/ so there’s no weight bearing to check it out, just drove it around their parking lot & said we don’t hear it. I was very upset after that interaction. They told me that if it keeps happening to bring it in later. I went back and complained that it’s doing it worse. They supposedly looked it over and gave me a quote for new shocks & struts. Which doesn’t make complete sense for a vehicle that’s only 4 years old. I went for a second opinion with a mechanic that is trusted by my family and good friends. He informed me that there’s nothing wrong with my struts & shocks. The issue was that my ball joint was loose and I needed it replaced. If I would have trusted Rowland and didn’t get a second opinion, I would have paid over $1,200 for the struts & shocks then I would be told afterward that I’d need a new ball joint that costs for my car a little under $500 (my car requires the arms to be replaced at the same time plus I had a bolt that was busted in the backseat that I didn’t know about when I purchased the vehicle, that was part of that 500 cost too). I’m glad I didn’t just pay for both of those fixes, especially when the struts & shocks were fine. TERRIBLE service and dishonestly. Also, Rowland told me that I’d need to get my battery replaced soon. My trusted mechanic looked at it and said, your battery is really healthy and fine. WOW. I’ve also heard other things in the community about the character of Rowland that does not sit with me well either. Please save yourself and your pocketbook, DO NOT take your car to get serviced here.I bought my car from Town & Country on the sales side (Justin & Adam are wonderful btw and seek honesty plus have fair prices). BUT get a third party to check out the car before you fully purchase, please DO NOT TRUST the service department that looks over the cars before the cars are sold off the lot. It’s not Justin & Adam’s problem, it’s the service department.
